A copy of 'Gut - the body's most underrated organ' by guilia Enders. Present from my uni student DD. It was on my list.

I've nearly finished it already! It's so interesting.

My partner's seems to be the Sooty DVD I bought for him and our young son to watch together. Child is fast asleep, grown man has been watching the whole thing alone (and far too over-excited in his reactions!).

My mum and dad got me a kitchen aid. I'm still shocked. I was shopping with her back in the summer and we saw them in John Lewis, I mentioned that I'd love one, but could never justify the money.

I do a lot of baking and have recently worn out my hand mixer. But talk about unexpected! I'm waiting for dc1 to make an appearance at the moment (6 days till my due date) so hopefully I'll get some time while I'm on mat leave to do some baking!

My in laws got me a collection of vouchers to treat myself once baby has arrived which was very sweet of them.

My new slippers. It's the small things!

Also, unlike seemingly everyone else on the threads I'm reading, I've been really chuffed with all the smellies I've got.

Record player so I can listen to my mum and dad's -they are both deceased - old record collection (and build my own). Dh doesn't do thoughtful gifts often but when he does he is awesome.

Mine was a charity gift - Polio Vaccinations for 100 children. I had said that I didn't really want anything as I am drowning clutter, and as my Mum is disabled due to having polio as a child it was a gift that meant a lot.

There's a photo of me and dp, it was taken in a photo booth, one of the ones where you get 4 different photos.

The position of our heads and my arm makes a heart shape, it's my favourite photo of us. My mum had it printed onto canvass. It means so much to me and was such a thoughtful gift. I may have shed a tear or two when I received it.

Some strawberry bubble bath from DS1. He saved some of his tooth fairy money and got DH to take him to The Body Shop to get it, all his own idea and he even did the wrapping! He's 7 and was so excited and proud to give it to me, it made my Christmas to be be honest
