Looks like the Britain-hating commie Beeboids are going to get their comeuppance.

Thanks PoppyField

The BBC shouldn't be slashed in one big stroke; it would be better to do it in small doses and let them drift into irrelevance. Decriminalise the licence fee, let other broadcasters get a bigger cut year on year, and cut the overall amount by 3% each year.

What a weird thread, I have not noticed any bias.

The bbc is marvellous.

Anyone who posts anti bbc stuff has clearly never seen Fox News.

Anniegetyourgun Mon 11-May-15 22:33:03

Or worse, has seen it and.... liked it shock

squareheadcut Mon 11-May-15 22:33:14

The BBC world service does a totally wonderful job.

Cherrypi Mon 11-May-15 22:33:53

I want them to increase the license fee. Happy to pay more.

longfingernails Mon 11-May-15 22:36:34

Cherrypi In case you hadn't noticed, the BBC despises Tories/UKIP/small-c conservatives in general. Luckily, the feeling is mutual, and John Whittingdale gives the impression of loathing the BBC even more than me.

PoppyField Mon 11-May-15 22:37:55

Here's another one biscuit

ilovesooty Mon 11-May-15 22:39:17

I'd be happy to pay an increased licence fee for the BBC too.

GiddyOnZackHunt Mon 11-May-15 22:42:47

A touch of paranoia?

Dawndonnaagain Mon 11-May-15 22:42:54

Long fingernails is notorious for posting this sort of nonsense.

Sixweekstowait Mon 11-May-15 22:43:42

Me too

Bluestocking Mon 11-May-15 22:44:41

I would be happy to pay the license fee for R4 alone. It's less than 40p per day for the absolute best radio in the world. Only someone who's never left Sidcup could be ignorant enough not to realise that the BBC is a peerless treasure.

HeeHiles Mon 11-May-15 22:46:10

I hadn't noticed either hmm

Love the BBC

ilovesooty Mon 11-May-15 22:46:59

And John Whittingdale has the sort of background and voting record which in my view casts doubt on his fitness as an MP, let alone his fitness for the post he holds.

Wantsunshine Mon 11-May-15 22:47:02

I hope he scraps the tv license. It's outdated now with so many new media avenues.

BoreOfWhabylon Mon 11-May-15 22:47:37

I too would be happy to pay the licence fee for R4 alone.

Have another biscuit OP.

BreconBeBuggered Mon 11-May-15 22:47:51

Cannot be arsed to summon up a biscuit.

Jermajesty Mon 11-May-15 22:48:38

Another one who loves the BBC, though their coverage on election night was pretty crap!

ghostyslovesheep Mon 11-May-15 22:49:45

I would pay double - I love the BBC - Doctor Who is worth it - never mind R5 R4 and BBC4

ghostyslovesheep Mon 11-May-15 22:51:00

although I'd love the OP to give us the evidence of the 'Britain Hating' - fairly sure they cover most events - you know like VE Day celebrations hmm

longfingernails Mon 11-May-15 22:52:59

12.6% of the country voted UKIP. I wonder what percentage of BBC employees did? I would guess 0.1%.

Cooroo Mon 11-May-15 22:56:03

Thank god - proof that BBC only employs reasonably intelligent people!

PoppyField Mon 11-May-15 22:56:52

It is also 'hideously white' as an organisation and not at all representative of the population in that regard. That's an outrage as well isn't it OP?
