AIBU to think it's up to the individual to decide what time Wine O'Clock is...?

I think, if I've nowhere to be, 3-4pm is ok to have a cheeky glass while doing tea for DD getting in from school (she's 15).
I have a 16 month old toddler who is fantastic, but sometimes, especially if I've been up since 5, the day seems soooooo long, so a nice glass of plonk just helps things along!!
My question is, how early is TOO early?!

I thought it was just me being some kind of borderline alcofrolick, but I do think if normal (!!) folk start their days at say 7am, then my Wine O'Clock is sort of their teatime, which would be fine!!

I think if I felt I needed a drink before the children are in bed (younger ones, not older teens!) I'd be concerned.

I often have a small glass of wine when I cook dc's dinner and listen to the radio. So that's about 5pm

Before kids I was know to g&t at the weekend anytime after 11

Depends on the weather and location for me. i'd happily stop at a pub garden for lunch with the dc and have a pint in the summer. But would think it a early to pour one at home. Likewise a sunny afternoon while dc played in the garden i might have a shandy or weak spritzer at about 3pm but not if we were indoors and it was raining.

I would happily pour a glass of something at 5.15 and watch pointless tho :)

I'm in agreement with six pm. I don't think regularly drinking on weekday afternoons is a great idea. Weekend afternoons are excepted from this rule, and on a really bad day I pretend to be in the Paris time zone.

I kind of expected the "naughty mamma" comments, but I was genuinely interested in what people's ideas of acceptance were. I don't pop the cork every day at 3pm but like I said if I've nothing spoiling then why the hell not?!
