the Doctor started smashing the TARDIS controls up was bit too much? That part was good and very well acted, but even I was slightly ShockShock! [shivers]

maybe not at 2am!

I thought it was appropriate to the situation

It was his frustration at being lied to by Missy/The Master. A "I can't believe I fell for it" reaction.

I thought Zombie Danny was far scarier.

I was apprehensive, worrying "what is he going to do next?"

Go and have a cup of tea with Clara, it turns out.

How was it too much? It wasn't scary, even children will have felt frustrated to hit out that's all he was doing confused to why it too much in the context of the whole series, and a pretty dark episode, how some one showing an every day emotion was a bit too much? Confused

Well it's that juxtaposition of him being so wound up and emotional, so you do go oh blimey, but as it turns out it's all ok cos he just went had a cup of tea with his best friend, and quite honestly who doesn't!

Missy killing osgood too much ... Yes,
Danny blowing himself up in sacrifice too much yes,
A man being frustrated, to much? Not really!

SeaUnicorns I'm just oversensitive to when people act like that. There's a fair few things like The Missing where I don't find the main characters nearly as sympathetic as you're meant to because they're always arguing! Blush Blush

The part with Danny was also reasonably bad though, it made my face feel weird! Sad Although I can't help laughing at the comments on other sites about "He's the first character to develop more personality after he became a Cyberman!"

I kind of love Missy.

I thought this was going to be the bit with the Brigadier. That made me howl.

I reckon Missy might come back. The ray she was killing people with was orange, but the cyberman one was blue, so it might have been some kind of transporter. I know the cyberman was the old head of UNIT, but he might not have realised- would Missy make soldiers that could kill her, knowing she was going to give control to the Dr?

Also wonder what Clara wanted to tell him- was it just that Danny had chosen not to come back or something else? Maybe she is pregnant or something?

I thought the whole 'finale' was a huge anticlimax. Muddled, mawkish and deeply forgettable.

I loved last night's episode - cried through most of it but that may have been hormonal!
I thought it was very well done and his frustration at the Master/Mistress was totally understandable and appropriate.

I cried several times. I am hormonal, too, but I am also a crier, so who knows.

I really liked Danny, I'm sad he's gone. Nick Frost as Santa at the end was cute. I'd heard he was going to be in the Christmas special.

Clara wanted to say she'd had enough. He did it for her.

I'm old enough to remember the Major, (Lethbridge Stewart) and his promotions!

Steven Moffat more or less said in Extra that The Master (in one form or another) would be back but that we may not be told how as that is how it always used to be done in the past - The Master just can 'escape'.

Moffers loves to kill favourite characters off though - what if he kills Santa on Christmas Day? Confused

I wouldn't put it past him.

Anorak moment - When Missy disintegrated Osgood and others, it was orange. When the Doctor "disintegrated" Missy, it was blue. I don't think Missy/The Master is dead at all.

I thought the Tardis bashing was completely appropriate. I'm glad Kate L-S is ok.

I also had a major blubfest during last night's Who....followed by my usual blubfest through the Festival of Remembrance.

The doctor didn't do it chameleon the cyberman/brigadier did it.

I think the Master has regenerated into Santa.

I'm a bit meh over the finale really. The Doctor didn't kill Missy though, the blue flash came from behind seemingly from the cyberman Major.

The rage scene for me was the only scene that rang true, as the Master had fooled him again.

As a time traveller why doesn't the Doctor know Danny didn't come back?

Will watch it again this week I'd imagine but underwhelmed by it at the moment.

The Doctor didn't know about Danny because time is not fixed. There is no preordained path to be followed, it can all change depending on what decisions are made.

Sorry, that's a bit deep for a Sunday evening Grin

Laughing at myself for using the phrase "the only scene that rang true", when talking about Doctor Who Grin

That amount of deep is just about right Frankel. Have to say though, I preferred Danny as a cyberman, I didn't believe the relationship between Clara and Danny.
