AIBU?

To keep farting on the cat?

Don't get me wrong, I am not pinning her down and doing it or anything. I am curled up on the sofa and she has got in the nook between my bum and knees. I have terrible wind. She did move but just to turn her back to me. Should I move her knowing it will probably not get any better soon, or just let her make her own choice?
I have got some dreamies which might ease her pain.

If I fart really loudly...my cat gets scared, with fluffy tail and bendy legs Blush

She hasn't moved because you have gassed her. Forget the Dreamies, open the window and waft her some fresh air

Only if your both pretending not to like the smell

FallenNinja - it may be a Saturday night but there is no need to cross line. The cat has been nasally assaulted

Cats love a meaty guff.

Samuel: I'm surprised your fingers didn't lock in shock when you typed that in. No one knows if this cat is STILL ALIVE

It's only fair to just empty the pouch of dreamies in there. She probably doesn't have the strength to move herself the poor thing.

BTW My cat does get a 30 second warning but chooses to ignore and then has the cheek to give me the death stare. Well I warned you bitch!!

KC, I have just prodded her and she squeaked. She is alive, although possibly a little overcome with the smell to be able to move. I am too, however, and therefore unable to open a window.
I have decided IANBU, I think she likes it Smile

MeerKat: I know I'm going to regret asking this, but .... what does the 30 second warning entail?

KC225 · 06/04/2013 20:33

Yukkkkkk what is the matter with you people, farting on a cat is not an acceptable way to spend a Saturday evening

I have just inadvertently farted in my cats face.she is on the chair and went to pick up the tv remote. Apart from an odd look on her face I think she still loves me Grin

Your cat squeaks? Did it squeak before you gassed it?

  • I went to pick up the remote....

I don't do it every Saturday, it is just her lucky night I guess. I would also like to know what the 30 second warning involves.

Frustrated, I think it is maybe getting to her vocal chords a little. Nothing a drink of water won't sort out, if she makes it to the dish Blush

To the ladies farting on cat's read the following:-

Did you know that a cat's sense of smell is fourteen times stronger than a human's? That is because its total nasal organ is comparatively larger than that of a human. Cats depend on their sense of smell for their very survival; in fact it could be said that a cat's nose is its most important organ.

Based on your last post, KC, I have decided she is obviously stupid to sit there if that is the case. I don't believe stupidity should be rewarded. The dreamies will NOT be issued.

I don't think the dreamies would help tbh, if he nasel passages have been destroyed she'd never smell the delicious scent of dreamies.
Perhaps if you fart a few more times...

Our cat has absolutely no qualms about letting rip at us, so I wouldn't feel guilty about reciprocating.

Cat is currently not speaking to me as I laughed so hard at this thread that I woke him up.

It's been a bad night for cats. :)

Bowler: She (farted) started it. I'm trying to protect the cats. In the words of the late Michael Jackson 'I'm a lover not a farter'
