Dh is usually home in time to bath dd (18 months), read her bedtime stories while she has her milk and put her to bed. I'm always pretty wiped out by the time he gets here and it's really nice to hand over and go and sit down for a bit. Tonight dh rang up at teatime and asked if I'd mind if he went out for a drink after work instead. I said that was fine as long as he isn't really late as I had an early start this morning to go and visit a friend who lives 2 hours drive away.
In the bath, dd did a poo. I really hate that. She's only done it a handful of times and it's always been dh who has cleared it up. This is mainly because the first time it happened I was in the throes of morning sickness and the sight of it made me want to vom, so bath poos kind of became his job.
I've got dd into bed, and now I should go and clean up the mess. But I'm really, really tempted to leave it for dh to do when he comes home. Is that so unreasonable? It's been a hectic, though pleasant day and I'm really knackered. I'm past the morning sickness stage now so that's no excuse, but I have done my back in carrying dd around with soft pregnant ligaments so it would be quite painful leaning over the bath sorting it out. Please tell me I can leave it for dh and I'm not just being a lazy arse!
AIBU?
to leave the poo in the bath for DH to deal with?
