Dh (that's dick husband) went off to his parents an hour and a half ago and still isn't on his way back. I'm having contractions and quite frankly hes pissing me off. He was late leaving and is now also late getting back.

I am stuck here with my mother and contractions ffs could it get any worse Angry

What is he doing if he's not travelling back?

If it gets to the point you need to go to hospital then go. If your dh isn't there I assume he knows where it is and can get there himself. at least you have your mum with you and she will most likely be more help then your dh

God knows text to say he was leaving in ten mins, text back to tell him not to worry about me and he said he was. Whatever.

Dont say ring him cause I will be very rude if I do, am impressed I didn't swear in my texts tbh.

Just go if you need to. He can make his own way there; it's you and baby who are important here.

MardyBra - enjoy the fact that the baby is on it's way Grin

Can your Mum drive you to the hospital?

Try not to focus on him - try to focus on you and the baby x

I would prioritise your health and the baby's health over your DH tbh. If you need to go to hospital, then go. Your DH can sort himself out.
Hope everything goes well for you.

My DP missed my DC2's arrival btw and it was fine, really. Good luck x

If he's that late he will be in serious trouble.

Dd's labour/ birth was quite quick and he knows ice been worried this one will be much quicker. He's a fucking knobhead.

Why did he go to his parents house when you are in labour? Did he have to drop off other children or something?

Call your in-laws, tell them you are in labour (preferably cry) tell them to send him home. If your in-laws are halfway nice people, your MIL will read him the riot act if he misses the birth.

I think you'll find he's just earned the role of changing every shitty nappy for the first month.

Oh, and congratulations!

Trying to resist the urge to tell him I'm on my way. That would be naughty Grin or at least that my waters have gone.

Are you actually anywhere near having to go to hospital?

If it's imminent then he's a twonk and you should just do what you need to. He'll catch up.

If youre actually a way off from needing to leave for hospital and you're just venting then....carry on!

How exciting!

I'd be heading to hospital without him, and giving him an epic bollocking for being late.

On the plus side, baby is coming!

oh and Go To Hospital!!!! If your mum can't drive you, you could call an ambulance if you think it's going to be soon.

Report
Imnotaslimjim · 07/09/2011 11:05

how far away is he? And how far apart are the contractions? If you're worried baby is coming, just go to the hospital, call an ambulance if you need to, and tell him to go straight there rather than home first

Please try and relax a bit though, the stress hormones can stall your labour
