It was my sister's wedding this weekend and our dd's just turned 2. PIL came to the night do for a little while then took dd home to theirs when she got knackered. When we picked her up the next morning we were quite surprised she'd not gone to sleep until after 10pm (they left by half 8) and then was up at 5:30am! (She usually has 12 hours whatever; it must be over a year since she's woken before 7am; lucky us, we know). However we put this down to excitement of the day, winding down etc. Then we saw them today for a bbq when they announced they'd given her 3 pieces of (brandy-filled) wedding cake when they got there and then she'd had a full McDonald's on the way home. They thought it was funny as they never thought she'd eat a whole one! Don't get me wrong she has treats etc, but I really thought this was pretty selfish - I know they'd not seen much of her that day and such but surely home for bottle of milk before bed would've been on the cards? I know it won't have done her any harm in the long run etc but I feel livid. Like I say of course she has treats but we've never taken her to McDonalds and if we did it wouldn't be a full adult meal she'd be getting! AIBU?
