What gives you the most enjoyment in life aside from children?

JPlusTwo · 10/07/2020 06:36

Just a lighthearted thread I guess but all responses welcome.

The dust has settled after a rocky breakup with DH and I now feel like I can reshape who I am and discover what I enjoy in life as opposed to thinking about his happiness all the time!

My children are my whole world but I would love to do something just for me. I guess for now my response would be getting out for long walks in the sunshine, always a huge mood booster!

Me too! So watching this thread with interest as I start to have a little more time for myself when the DC are at their dads... I think coffee in a cafe with a girlfriend, being able to get some order in the house and do something extended (without being interrupted) to make my space more organised or nicer and feel 'on top of things' - I like doing this with the radio on, listening to some good podcasts, watching a Netflix series in the day - that feels like decadence!

Mine would be baking, it's a great escape, and we get lots of nice snacks after.

I love reading and I've just taken up acrylic painting. I've been watching landscape tutorials on YouTube and have managed to produce some ok stuff.
Outside the house I love walking/hiking. I'm lucky enough to live in a coastal area but any view will do.
