What has been your low point today/this week?

I have a cold because germs are the only thing small children share freely Hmm
a sore back/hips because I thought I'd be clever and go on the trampolines with the kids at the weekend and lifting said small children in and out of car/pushchair/high chairs
my period

but the cherry on the cake was sitting down with DS at bed time and bashed my head not once but twice (either side). I did cry into my Lemsip at that point Blush

Anyone want to share theirs?

The relentless cold bug that I have. It's been nearly three weeks and I still can't shift it. By 3pm each day I'm ready to fall asleep, but can't as I have to work and do housework etc etc. Roll on 5pm tomorrow night.

My partners Dad's funeral and my Mum being diagnosed with bowel cancer.
Not the best week I've had. But strangely calm. Possibly because we have no choice.

Our chest freezer has just died. We didn't discover it until £100s of food had thawed and had to be thrown out. We don't have the money to replace the freezer or the food. It was our safety net, the food was to feed us (and 3 DC) when months were tight. I cried as I binned it all this evening, what a waste.

Missing lunch thanks to a mix up (meeting with working lunch provided, caterers only brought coffee and I missed the canteen. Managed to eat some grapes.)

Get stuck in traffic and End up half an hour late for after school club, leaving us ten minutes to grab swimming stuff and drive to swimming lesson, only to find on arrival I’d forgotten goggles and had to squeeze my six year old into 18-24 month swimming shorts. Luckily he saw the funny side.

I was so hangry I let the eldest DS loose on the vending machine and we ate an awful lot of pretzels while the little one swam.

Realising that I am probably going to have to cancel a much needed girls weekend, next weekend, as I have far too much college work to do.
I have a Christmas gift trip away overnight this week already
4000 word essay to do a re-write
4000 word project to collate and write
a literature review for 4000 word project number 3
Oh and lesson plans for the week after half term to prepare.
Feel like sobbing and running away.

I had a really nasty cough/cold last weekend which kept me off work earlier this week so I missed Zumba. Went back and thought I was fine but felt really low today, had to stand nearly all the way home (50 mins) and felt so yuk I couldn't go to my ballet class. It's the last one before half-term and I love my class so I'm bitterly disappointed to miss it. First World problem but I feel like sitting and stuffing my face with chocolate - and just discovered we haven't got any....Sad

Low points -Mine have been my cough keeping me awake and one day I cough so hard I had a little wee at work . Confused
I also had a huge row with dd because I was pissed off with her not pulling her weight round the house .
At least its Friday tomorrow.

Calling police to force entry to relative's house, a quiet, private person who avoided fuss and too much contact. Relative was in the house, had passed away, feel awful and keep thinking how they passed and trying to work out if it was quick... Coroner involved.

No extended family to help, but don't mind, happy for this to be our duty.

I hope they are at rest and with their loved ones.

@Craiglang there’s no chance that your insurance will cover the food is there? Do check, you might be surprised. (I once carelessly dropped an iPad and was shocked when a friend told me to check my insurance and it turned out that yes, my contents insurance covered me for my butterfingers!)

Fortunately it’s all going along ok for me this week but I’ve had my share of lows in the past. 💐 for you all.

Getting hit in the face/body by a child I work with. Made progress in some areas but gone back in others. That was a particularly bad day.

And being constantly ill since I started working there. Apparently the first year is always bad, but after that you have the immune system of an ox...

My 6 year old's night time nappy has leaked every night this week. He also has rumination syndrome so pukes up to 10 times a day. He hasn't made it to the toilet in time twice and my 5 year old has pooed in his pants 3 times this week too. I'm so sick of clearing up wee, poo and vomit.

My senior colleague nitpicking & hovering over me whilst I'm performing basic tasks & gloating about the fact that I've been overlooked for a job I really wanted and am perfectly capable of. Makes it worse that she will be in to train the person who is taking the position I put myself forward for.

Discovering my slightly achy tooth require £1000 of work on it. I recently lost a parent and we were hoping to do an Easter holiday break as I’ve done so much and not had time to properly grieve. But I also can’t deal with the constant ache....... see you holiday!

My best friend has flipped her proverbial lid, turning into a childish bully because I am not fully sold on applying to same primary school that she chose for her children a couple of years ago. I respect her decision, it's her decision after all, and have in no way been critical of her choice. She doesn't respect mine. Then it turned personal. All one way from her. She wouldn't stop so I blocked her. Now she's behaving like a bratty 8 yr old and I'm still waiting to speak to the adult in the room. I feel so sad and lost.

Took my son to football practice tonight, his first time. He was excited to go in. Then he cried the whole hour, said he thought it was a different football??!! and he was never coming back, got a certificate which he screwed up and tried to tear in half and then he hit me because I took it from him.
He is 4, tired at the end of term and been not 100% all week with a cold. As well as getting up before the alarm every day!
Sad tired mummy, sad tired child.
