Hello,
I've just returned to my admin job after a period of maternity leave and am already feeling frustrated at the lack of progression that my role has.
I've worked here for 4 years and although I do feel appreciated and valued by management, it's not enough to be stuck in the same role when I know I could do something more challenging.
The trouble is I don't know exactly what. I have always wanted to get into HR and before I got my current job I self funded a CIPD qualification.
I wrongly thought that this would help me get an entry level role but just kept getting rejected for any HR role I applied for. Experience counts for more than qualifications and I can't seem to find a way in.
I have also looked at going into teaching or nursing as I'd love to do something meaningful but we couldn't afford for me to train with no salary.
I realise I seem all over the place but I just want to do something more challenging with more earning potential. My firm is a lovely friendly place to work but it's just not grown enough to expand my role.
Does anyone have any suggestions for career advice resources?
