A truly disturbing and dispiriting read.

I've Googled for  Police Women’s Independent Advisory Group in my county. They don't mention a women's group but do say they want to hear from people who feel that their community’s voice is underrepresented in dialogue with their local /county police.

I doubt the Police mean women and especially doubt that they mean me but I shall contact them. I suggested this to a friend who also Googled. And has reported back with this tweet and news. So, if I was wondering how the horrible situation outlined in the OP's link happened, I'm now sadder and wiser.

‘I believe the College of Police is inherently corrupted by gender ideology'

'Recently, a man named Clare, Head of the Independent Advisory Group to Essex Police, said women with gender critical views should be treated as terrorists’

I think that given that this report is about Bristol it isn't actually a surprise.

But is important as it lays out so clearly how the provision of women only support (as per the EA SSE) can be so easily disregarded.

When this happened in Brighton there were complaints and the council sort of shrugged and said we will try harder next time.

And we know this is what happened in Scotland.

But this isn't just about trans infiltration, this is about how councils (and other public groups) have gone down the route of contracting out what should be their primary purpose, ie setting the brief for funding bids etc..

All too often now they will go "X" group has a good reputation is this area of supported (and what they mean by good is bringing in services under budget) rather than good, they have provided services in line with the brief we set out, eg women only, or whatever.

Councils then accept the portfolio of support services the contracted group has employed to do the work. So in some instance this isn't about trans infilitration or someone with a political agenda but some bean counter going oh look project "z" provides a range of services well under budget, lets give them the work.

In some areas this has led to women's refuges being closed because the benchmark was cost, and after its just about providing a bed space so why shouldn't some general purposed homelessness hostel be suitable for a woman escaping male violence.

So it seems to be we all need to be much more actively engaged with local councils, so that the people who are ultimately responsible ie the councillors cant just go, oh the senior office recommended this, and it isn't for me to question their work.

Thanks for your input - obviously Cass is dominating the headlines at present! This had to be published now because the Police Commissioner hustings are taking place in the coming weeks.
The move to end female only abuse support is being actioned by women's abuse organisations who are happy to see victims left without support if they can't support the Stonewall nonsense slogan 'transwomen are women'. None of them are standing up to the council or trans activists out of fear for funding loss.

Trans beliefs seem to be poisonous -those who follow them don't want both mixed and single sex services so everyone who needs help can access it. They want even the most vulnerable women excluded, silenced and punished if they won't submit to trans crazy fantasies.

Our rights are conditional on their consent

It makes me so angry. Why do men hate women so much?

TRA women's orgs and police end all female only abuse support

My friend is livid and sad.

But, it's ludicrous to think she can go ahead and apply to join the Essex advisory group when it's chaired by someone who has labelled her (legal) GC beliefs as 'terrorism'.

Exactly this.

It's religious. Non believers must be shunned and punished. Dissent mustn't be allowed to exist. There's zero flexibility for allowing freedom of belief from most of these callous zealots.

This issue has now been referred to in The Lord's debate about the Victim's Bill- what a relief. No one can pretend they didn't know now. It's on twitter (Venice Allan and Baroness Fox of Buckley) and on Hansard for those without twitter.

This also shows it's not isolated to any of the areas you might think. Essex is and has always been a Conservative/conservative county. WTF is going on there is anyone's guess.

Kemi Badenoch is an Essex MP, (Saffron Walden constituency, very large and a very safe Tory seat) and given her generally GC views might it be worth contacting her to complain about what this woman, chair of the Essex advisory Group, has said about entirely legal GC beliefs?
I strongly doubt Kemi would agree that such views are terrorism.
