Got any input just in case they call back?

I've just had a call from the BBC for any answers. Unfortunately a bit unprepared so waffled but she understood. I might get a call back but I wasn't clear enough.

Anyway, my question was did they think Government had gone far enough with GRA given number of people opposed to Self-id

One of you lot would have done a lot better but you never know I might get a call and will be a bit more prepared.

Got any input?

Also the hard work and commitment of having to learn to "talk, walk, dress" in their new identity ffs.

Huh? I know it's suddenly old doctrine to talk about 'being born in the wrong body'. However, being trans has always (until very recently) been presented to the general public as being born in the wrong body. If a trans person is a man trapped in a woman's body or a woman trapped in a man's body, how is it 'hard work' to talk, walk and dress in one's ' true identity'? Surely you would just be yourself? It should be very natural and easy to talk, walk and dress as a reflection of how you really are.
It takes a lot of effort to pretend to be something you are not, even if you become quite proficient at it - there is a lot of self-consciousness involved. In contrast, being yourself is so much easier - usually you don't even realise you are talking, walking or dressing in a particular manner because you're just unconsciously being you.

Very good point.

My main transfriend had v little difficulty; the hard bit for her was before she started to live as a woman and going round telling her clients (respectable business, one that is normal for a man to run) so they weren't surprised or taken aback by her change in appearance. Once she'd talked to the wife and children, I imagine telling the rest of us was not too bad.
