"I'M A BITCH !!!.....Unfortunately most women won't repost this... I'm a handful, I'm strong willed, independent, a bit outspoken and I tell it like it is... I make mistakes, I am sometimes out of control & at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best......... If you're a BITCH, repost!... I dare you!... I'll be looking for the ladies who repost xxxx"

I've seen this a few times today on FB so i have replaced the word bitch with 'normal' and reposted it.

I am all those things, but I'm not a bitch. i know lots of men that are those things, but have never heard them being described as a bitch.

Normal, normal, normal.

ILoveItWhenYouCallMeBoo · 08/01/2011 14:03

it's not just one person wukter i have seen it 3 times, same group of friends so not surprising they think the same and are reposting this.

how stupid to 'dare' other women to declare themselves bitches!! silly silly women, can't they see what they ae doing to themselves with this shit?

COCKadoodledooo · 08/01/2011 14:06

I never repost any of that claptrap. It's bollocks though. Bet it was invented by a 12yo who thought they were being rebellious Hmm

ILoveItWhenYouCallMeBoo · 08/01/2011 14:07

probably COCKadoodledooo.

i wouldn't have reposted it except to make a point....passive aggressively Blush

Ohhhh ... now I understand your status!

I've not seen the version with bitch - yuck!

wutker - ah yes, 'feisty'.

ILoveItWhenYouCallMeBoo · 08/01/2011 22:38

exactly dittany, YAWN!!

to me it screams of a girl trying to play up to that bad girl image, laying down a challenge for all men to try and tame her.

Grin LRD, i was starting to wonder if the people that are liking it on my profile understand what i have done (as in seen the original version) or they are just agreeing that i am 'hard work' Confused

OP posts:
JaneS · 08/01/2011 23:08

I can understand the confusion. A mate of mine just asked me if I'd been told feminists were old hags (because my status is that I'm young and a feminist, in reply to what seth said). I wasn't sure if he was taking the piss or being supportive!

ILoveItWhenYouCallMeBoo · 08/01/2011 23:13

wel, I've just been told, apparently jokingly, that i am a "little man hater" Hmm

OP posts:
AuntieMaggie · 08/01/2011 23:20

isn't this a quote from a famous woman or a version of it??? have seen it before.... Marilyn Monroe or someone of that ilk I think....

ILoveItWhenYouCallMeBoo · 08/01/2011 23:22

yes marilyn monroe said the bit "if you can't handle me at my worst..." but she certainly did not say the rest or call herself a bitch.

Related to what, if you don't mind me asking? And are you hating men of shorter statue, or are you petite and misandric?

ILoveItWhenYouCallMeBoo · 09/01/2011 00:14

not sure really, i am 5'4", is that short? Confused

well he got a lecture and totally conceded that i was absoloutely right and that he doesn't know why he said that, apparently independant women =ball breakers. i pointed out that i also take no shit from women but i don't get called a woman hater. he agreed he was wrong to think that. we are discussing eminem currently. apparently a 'creative genius' Hmm

"But if you can't handle me at my worst then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best"

That rather depends on what your "worst" is. Hmm Some women (some people, generally) I wouldn't want to have to handle.

Sounds like a typical stupid copy and paste status. I don't agree with anything it says.

ILoveItWhenYouCallMeBoo · 09/01/2011 00:22

it is a copy and paste one.

OP posts:
JaneS · 09/01/2011 06:56

Crikey. That's depressing - that just sounds like your mate thought it'd be an ok thing to say. Confused

MargaretGraceBondfield · 09/01/2011 08:32

I've got a friend who was posting this....I may just alter and repost.

MargaretGraceBondfield · 09/01/2011 08:35

I'M A WOMAN!.. Unfortunately most women wont repost this. I'm a handful,I'm strong willed, independent,A bit out spoken and tell it like it is. I make mistakes, I am sometimes out of control and at sometimes hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best! If you're a bitch, repost this... I dare you.. I'll be looking for the ladies who repost and remember that they do not have to subject themselves to namecalling just because they're not weak minded pawns of patriarchy.

there that's better.

ILoveItWhenYouCallMeBoo · 09/01/2011 10:23

to be honest margaret, i don't even like the woman label being attributed to that. i think those are universal characteristics of any person, male or female. to claim them as part of your gender, implies they are solely part of female behvaiour which is simply untrue.

OP posts:
tubbyglossop · 09/01/2011 18:21

Slightly off-topic, but so glad I'm not the only one who hates the word "feisty".

I hate the status, but think it's massively improved by the substitution of normal for bitch - yanbu!

Ephiny · 10/01/2011 08:40

I actually think the 'I'm a handful', 'hard to handle' stuff is the most offensive, like a woman is a child or an animal to be 'handled' and 'controlled' by a man. Also am Shock at the idea that being independent and a bit outspoken and sometimes making mistakes makes you a 'bitch' rather than just, well, human...
