Has anyone else read this? I loved it. It's fiction about a Victorian woman detective and a very strange case.

I bought this on audible and thought it sounded interesting but after several attempts I just cannot get into it.

I really enjoyed the weirdness of The Mermaid and Mrs Hancock but the talking ghost was just too irritating and I gave up.

Oh I loved that too! Quite strange as you say but very compelling. I went on to read The Hoarder , also by her, and enjoyed that too.
