Audible recommendations please!

I listen to audio books when I run and am training for a half marathon so doing lots more hours of running than usual. Please help to alleviate my boredom with your top audible recommendations. TIA

I'm currently listening to the Son-in-Law by Charity Norman on audiobook. The story is told by three different characters and read (brilliantly) by three different voices. Really enjoying it so far!

2 superb Stephen King books - The Stand read by the amazing Grover Gardner. Then there is my most recent read: 11.22.63 - read by another great narrator. Both very long books but I was hooked on both and sad when they came to an end.

Ooh I've just downloaded the Donna Tartt, glad that's good. And I may just get some Poirot for comfort too. I've been doing some of the Sherlock Holmes (Derek Jacobi, v good) on the same basis. Great recommendations, thanks everyone. Do keep them coming!

Anna Bentinck is a fabulous narrator, I've listened to lots of her. Gillespie and I was a particularly excellent listen.

The Shining is brilliant.

Secrets of the Tides, read by Emilia Fox.

Emilia Fox reading Nancy Mitford's books is rather lovely. Agatha Christie is my go-to audiobook author of choice when I'm exercising/commuting/multitasking - comfort books.

Just finished The Talented Mr Ripley. Liked the film but the book was great. Only problem is there are 4 more books on the series but Audible only has 2 of them.

Really enjoyed the Lewis trilogy by Peter may from audible. Well read and gripping though a bit gory and dark at times.

Thanks everyone - will need to check out digitalaudiobooks, I've been using audible so far. I may look at the Michael McIntyre - I've been listening to David Mitchell's 'Back Story' recently, do doing the slightly crazed running along and bursting out laughing/wheezing. Must be really freaking out fellow park users ... Fingersmith sounds good too. Any other recommendations?

My recent dog walking one was Life and Laughing by Michael McIntyre (narrated by him). I laughed my head off - might put you off your rhythm a bit! Now listening to The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel which is great. Can't remember the narrator but she is very good.

Thanks Drom. I definitely like crime fiction (have lots of the VI books in hard copy), and I totally agree about the reader. I selflessly bought the How To Train Your Dragon books for my DDs because they were read by a certain Mr Tennant ...
Enjoyed the Cuckoo's Calling recently, and I've just downloaded Apple Tree Yard which looks good. Also recently done some Laurence Block and Harlan Coben. Thanks!

V important to get ones that are well read - a bad reader is infuriating.
NB if you get a children's one on your child's library card, it is free! We've just listened to the last Alex Rider book, and it good fun. Also enjoyed the Harry Potter ones read by Stephen Fry.
Enjoyed easy reading book "The importance of being a Bachelor".
For a crime book, the VI War.... books about the female Italian American detective in Chicago are good and v well read.
Obviously depends on what kind of book you like.
