Need to lose 2 stone - addicted to sugar

I need to lose 2 stone and I'm definitely addicted to sugar, I eat lots of chocolate and sweets.

I've zero willpower, but really want to lose weight. I've followed a low carb diet before, but don't know if I can manage now. My weakness is comfort eating and the last year has been extremely tough.

Anyone like to join me for motivation? Maybe we can exchange recipes, ideas? Weigh in together?

I'm 12 stone 3 and would like to get down to 10 stone 7 or less. I'm 5'7 and 51 years, so age is not on my side!

Great! Reading some more of your posts, we have similar downfalls. I reach for the sugar when I'm tired. I ate half a jar of nutella yesterday. Which was stupid, because other than that, I had 2 protein shakes and some homemade lubia (bean stew)

I am LP to 2 kids and work nearly full time. I've been diagnosed as having CFS, so I often get tired!! Am hoping though that weight loss will actually improve that

I'm pretty much the same - I haven't had caffeine for years, but have now cut out most sugar, carbs .. I have some dairy though, mainly cream in my morning coffee instead of milk and a little cheese.

I'm mortified at the size I have become. I'm the same height as you but 14stone. I need to get to 11 stone as first goal

I am going to eat clean. So no sugar, caffeine, diary or gluten

I didn't do too badly yesterday, I had a piece of cake, but otherwise ate healthily, except having about six fries with my chicken salad. I came in at about my mfp allowance.

On my way to London with dd on a coach - but was mortified when someone at the bus stop offered me a seat because they "hadn't realised I was pregnant"! Shock ffs - I'm 51, although admittedly always told I don't look it - and weigh 12'4 at 5 ft 7, so not that huge! Sad

Soooo ... I was going to treat myself today, but now feel motivated to carry on and lose this excess weight asap.

Sorry to hear that stressed .. Likewise,I lost the plot big time. Have been eating healthily for past 3 days .. Mainly low carb .. Because I feel so rubbish, out of breath when walking .. And I caught sight of myself in a window in town and was horrified.

I fell off the world let alone the wagon. Trying to climb back on and planning a 21 day no junk/sugar diet starting Monday (if I make it to supermarket, not been for weeks and am eating whatever i can get my hands on)

I had a slightly better day today, not so much junk. I walked into town with my daughter and home again later, so lots of exercise too.

Today was truly awful .. I walked the dog .. Uphill .. And realized how unfit I am. I'm eating loads of rubbish .. Today I had 3 packs of crisps, a.lot of bread and cheese for breakfast and lunch, home made burgers in bread rolls with fries and salad for dinner, plus 3 Orange club biscuits, a small bar of dark chocolate and 3 tiny packs of haribos Blush

Not my finest moment ...

To be fair I did start my period today. However I now need to really get a grip. There's no chocolate or crisps left in the house, so it's a good time to start again.

I wish I knew what to do to distract myself when I crave sweet things ... It's a mixture of unhappiness and boredom.

Same Sad Its so hard .. I'm sure my brain doesn't work right .. when I'm upset or stressed or similar I crave food and don't care about gaining weight. Then it's like I can't stop eating .. the next day I hate myself for failing again.

No ... the bender came later Blush I opened the biscuit barrel! Since then I've eaten terribly and put on the 4 lbs I lost.

Life is very stressful at the moment. I think I'll have to wait until I'm in a slightly better place .. hopefully soon.

If that's you on a bender cat then that's not too bad.... I haven't got to that place yet. No weight loss to report. And no actual lifestyle change to produce one. I have a week off next week so i am letting myself off until then. Work too stressful to try at the moment Sad

Not a good day for me today. Unhappy and craving food.

Bf bought a portion of chips to share this afternoon, then I had some rice with my dinner and later 3 pieces of dark chocolate.

In the past I would have eaten a lot more, but I still suspect it will have sabotaged my weight loss.

I had one piece of dark chocolate last night and managed to resist giving in to my cravings. Today I've had another good day, I seem to be in the zone at the moment. I got up late after a rough night, had scrambled egg with tomato for breakfast,a snack of some mixed nuts and cold roast chicken with salad for dinner. I weighed myself this morning and has lost four pounds.

Sounds good.

I'm craving something sweet! I've done pretty well, cold roast chicken and salad for dinner. I did have some raspberries as a snack this afternoon though.

Yesterday I cracked and had a ginger nut and a hot chocolate, but I did cycle in the pissing rain so I deserved it! Rye bread and smoked salmon today, then no food in and I was starving so rather than popping to the shops I walked to Lidl and bought food, came home and then made a sesame and halloumi salad. I'm so bored of drinking water though.
