Six week plan to lose 1 to 1.5 stones healthy eating and exercise!Anyone else ?

I ate a hell of a lot of toast over the winter with butter. Then I paid the price! I have been healthy eating and eating about 300-500 calories less than my rec.intake for the last five weeks and have lost a stone.
Now I feel a bit thinner which is great but realise I have another stone to 1.5 stone to lose looks like harder work !
I am on salads/ low cal deli stuff/ soup/ chicken/ salmon .
I am swimming when I get chance which is not often enough!
Anyone else on a similar regime want to join in to keep us all going together?

That's inspiring!
Can I join?
I'm going on holiday in 2 months so would love to lose 1.5 stones by then.
I lose weight when I skip breakfast. The problem is I love breakfast. Especially toast.
But I think it just gets my appetite going so I overeat for the rest of the day. Not eating breakfast gives me more control.
Im starting today so I'll wait until 12 to have lunch, snack mid afternoon then dinner.

After 8 days of cutting out snacks, eating 1000 calories a day and doing the 30 day shred every day (sometimes twice a day) I expected to stand on the scales and see a huge drop in weight.

The first few days saw a 3lb drop and since then I've stuck at the same weight....for 5 whole, infuriating days!! Instead of crying, "this isn't working! I'm buying a multi pack of Mars bars!" I tried on some clothes that were too tight to wear. Amazingly, a shirt, a dress and two different styles of coat button up and look almost good enough to wear! So, although it's only a 3lb loss, from doing the 30 day shred (and possibly making me a bit leaner?) it seems more like a 10lb loss.

It's encouraged me to stick at it. Mentally, I'd prefer a drop on the scales, but if I know the smaller sizes are almost within wearing reach, I'll take that instead.

Keep it up guys! Summer is almost here, and it's always good to feel a few pounds lighter in the sun.

I am starting to lose and have dropped below the plateau I was stuck at. I am eating more protein, not buying chocolate and biscuits and getting more active and have reduced the carbs. It seems to be working. I just need to stay committed.
Keep on keeping on everyone!

Hi

Thanks for finding me s on mfp! I have accepted you but I it also said my friend request has been sent.....I have no idea who I have asked maybe it's just sending a request back you. As you can tell I am not the best with technology Blush

Not been too good today...went out for lunch and had a salad followed by a very generous helping of banoffi pie.

No matter what happens today I must go for a run/walk.

Hope everyone else is doing better than me! X

Happytot, I found you on MFP. It seems you can add by user name too!

Hi
You can add friends to MFP by email or by Facebook on the computer but only by facebook on the mobile app, at least that's what I have found.
If you want to add me, my email is
[email protected]

I eat chocolate on my diet and still keep below the 1200 cals. Try the Cadbury fun size bars, they are about 50 cals a bar and make a nice evening treat (variety bags in Aldi).

I've just had a punnet of grapes thinking "it's fruit, it wont be much" but it was 276 calories! and 60 grams of sugar! equivalent to 5 fun size chocolate bars which I definitely would have enjoyed more but would not have eaten because chocolate makes you fat. It's all a big learning experience, I'm sure fruit was 'free' from points when I did Weight Watchers?

I was pretty good yesterday . Weighed this morning at 9stone 7 lb 😀
It was 4lb of curry and wine from the night before. Made me feel a bit better anyway .

Today's plan is to try again to keep within 1000 cals and go to a thighs bums and tums gym class.

How are you all doing ?

Hi

I'm on mfp. Happytot. I have no friends on it as I don't know how to add or find people. When I do it wants to connect through my Facebook and I don't want to do that.

I am really struggling today I would love some chocolate but if I give in I will be munching for the day......

Hi,
I'd like to join you please.
I'm also on My Fitness Pal (MFP)
Started about 30 days ago at 168lb, now down to 160.8lb by diet alone, I'm quite pleased with that but could definitely do better.
I'd like to be under 150lb.
I still call it my 'baby fat' but my youngest are 9 next week so that excuse doesn't work anymore!
If anyone need a MFP friend please let me know I only have 2 friends on there and one of them seems to burn 700 calories doing kettle bells for half an hour (yeah, I don't believe it either but what can you say!) I log onto MFP daily and really need the encouragement.

Mind if I join? I'd like to lose a stone, and have got a good gap of free time in my life to devote to it at the moment. Might get back on the shred if I can bear it...

When I last tried the 30 Day Shred last year I found it really tough - couldn't manage the jumping jacks etc. but I managed the full 20 mins today without stopping, which has made me happy / puzzled!

Hello all!! Can I join ye??

I have a stone to get rid of. I started a boot camp which meets once a week for circuits and weigh in. I was down 1lb this week but aiming for 2 next week.

Fitness wise I am going to get back into running and boot camp. Also downloaded the 7 min workout app today so will try that out.

The 30 day shred with jillian Michael is brilliant if you can stick to it. It's 2 min cardio and 1 min strength and 1 min of abs....it's been a while since I did it. You can get week one level one on YouTube. There are 3 levels.

Hi, I thought I'd mention a program I'm on that says eat what you want and lose weight anyway by reprogramming your metabolism .. Anybody else on it?

Would love to join in. Lost a stone in a month this time last year, but slid back into old habits of half a packet of chocolate digestives with a pot of tea.

Hopefully I can get back on track and not give in when a bag of Malteasers passes my line of vision.

Today started off well, with Day 1 of 30 Day Shred and Greek Yoghurt with berries for breakfast.

Fair have you tried a poached egg on toast? I've been having this for breakfast and it nearly feels like toast and butter (maybe I'm kidding myself!!)
I was 2lb down this morning so all good.

I have a wine tasting night to get through on Friday - I'm not known for being someone who would spit out wine but maybe I'll take it seriously and taste not drink :(.

What's everyone doing for exercise? I need some inspiration!

Enjoying a nice boiled egg for breakfast today. Not quite the same as toast and butter... but I'll feel better for it later. That's what I'm telling myself. Oh yes.

I've also signed up with WeightWatchers Online - my willpower isn't the best when it comes to food actually it's almost non-existent so it's easier to have an allowance staring me in the face!

Himalayan - MFP is my fitness pal it's an app that tracks your calorie intake for the day. It's free, I love it lots!! It's great to see you are the same as me 1 stone down, realistically I have 2 and a half to go as I'm a short arse. We can do this!
I'm weighing in tomorrow morning, I'm hoping for a loss after an unexplained 2lb gain last week.
