Christmas and most of my families birthdays come at once... Hopped on the scales this morning and first time I've been in the tens for ages Blush

I'm going in holiday with dp and his good friend and his wife who looks like a super model, so I don't look like moby dick I think I need to slim down a bit so setting myself this challenge if anyone wants to join?

I'm running the marathon this year, which is great but sort if means I've had and "I'll eat what I want" mentality and I've chunked up a bit clearly!!

Thought we could share food diaries/general whinging and because I love alliteration have a Wednesday weigh in?
Anyone with me?

Day 7! I seem to have killed the thread but will plough on regardless Grin

Back on the wagon after yesterday's curry treat. Shred this morning (with a slight hangover, ouch) and porridge/soup /apple in the day. About to have Spanish omelette with new potatoes and salad.

Weigh in tomorrow!

Day 6!

Porridge
Soup and ryvita
Apple and yoghurt
Takeaway curry and Prosecco Blush - don't blame me, it was DH's doing! I've been so good this week that I hope to get away with this without too much damage

When have I mentioned ready meals or pastry?!

Ummm, here:

"Today is ready meal veg lasange - not ideal but ran out of time to make my lunch last night as I usually do. Then tonight I'll have a home made vegetable pasty,"

When have I mentioned ready meals or pastry?! I've had one ready meal in 2016...
Today I've eaten a baked sweet potato with feta, salad and chickpea and lentil curry. That's very typical.

I can't eat breakfast I'm sure is psychological but I get massively sick after eating it.

Day 4!

Porridge
Soup and ryvita
Apple and yoghurt
Tomato and veg pasta for tea

No exercise as I have been at work all day. Am off tomorrow so will Shred in the morning before the kids get up.

Hope everyone else is doing OK!

Hi OP,
Well done on all the running! From reading your first post.... you want to lose body fat yet you are eating ready meals and processed foods and only 2 meals per day. This is not conducive to body fat loss and endurance training at the same time. You really need to make some changes to see the results you want. The quality of your calories really do matter and ready meals and pastry really are not good quality for both endurance or fat loss. Go back to basics, strip out the shop bought rubbish and replace it with wholesome real foods that your body can easily use as fuel for those great runs! Lots and lots of leafy greens, (are you vegetarian?), lentil stews, soups, baked potatoes, sweet potatoes, salads, all the fruits, smoothies (with oats in for your carbs) too. Any more help, please ask, it's my job!

Day 3!

Shred first thing
Porridge
Soup
An Apple
Fuck all else all day to allow enough calories for dinner :
Salmon, potato croquettes and veg followed by 600-calorie amazing mousse Grin

Day two done!

Porridge for breakfast
Soup and ryvita for lunch
Sainsburys BGTY fish pie and veg for tea
Apple and banana for snack
Body Combat exercise class

Tomorrow may be a challenge as DH is making me a Valentine's dinner and dessert will be Jamie Oliver's ultimate chocolate mousse, clocking in at an impressive 560 calories (it is AMAZING though)... I have worked out my calories for the day and can just about do it as long as I Shred first thing and don't eat much else for the day!

Hope everyone else is having a good weekend :)

Hi 4fingers :) I found it impossible to even think about losing weight while breastfeeding - I know it makes the weight fall off some people but I was the opposite! Mind you I did scoff cakes and biscuits for Britain...

DS1 had a three-hour karate course at the local leisure centre today so I nipped off to do a body combat class - I haven't done a gym class in years but I really enjoyed it. Might see if I can get to one more often.

Hello everyone, can I join you?
I've made it up to 12st (target is 9st Confused) put it all on when pregnant and now got a 5 month old but had a cesarean so it's been hard to do any excersize until now.

Been shovelling in biscuits as still breastfeeding so have set myself a rule of no sweet things from here on in. Hopefully I can keep it up. But feeling good about it. You all seem to have done brilliantly.

Hi Lastqueen :) Well done on your loss so far and continued running success. I have stopped running because of a health issue and also time /motivation issues now that I work four days a week. But I find Shredding pretty effective as long as I actually do it!

Anyway day 1 looked like this :

Porridge
Soup and ryvita for lunch
Quorn sausage and bean casserole
Apple for snack
Shred done this afternoon

Onwards and downwards!

Hi all :) I have started a 30-day challenge today so thought I might gatecrash the thread to keep myself motivated!

Day 1: I weigh 10st which is too much! I'm only short so I need to be no more than 9st 7lb to feel OK and nearer 9st to feel good. I am using MFP and will aim to Shred every day and post my results here every evening!

Going to try a new tactic of only weighing once a week. Usually I weigh daily but I'm not sure that does me much good.

Well done! Yes a good weigh in is so motivating.
I am 9st 11 ATM so happy with that!

So chuffed this morning as I am now 10st 3.6lbs Grin A good weigh in always gives me more motivation to carry on.
No meals out planned this weekend but do have friends coming over for a girly catch up this eve so the Prosecco shall be flowing Smile

Well I am still being very strict with 1200 cals during the week, not eating any exercise calories but not feeling guilty about a meal out and drinks at the weekends. Hoping for a good weigh in on Fri, will be absolutely over the moon if I am 10st 5lbs but that may be over optimistic!

I'll come back and post after my weigh in to update just in case anyone is still checking in with this thread!

Hmmm. Maybe I should man up and try it! It's probably not the best excuse is it?! Just made homemade hobnobs with the kids for a meeting being held at my house this evening - must restricts myself to just one!!

Silver I run in the dark too. I run on built up roads so there is street lighting. Once the evenings get lighter I will switch too around a large open space near us but I don't do that route in the dark (although DH does so I'm sure it would be fine)

Hi silver, yep I just go in the dark. Never had any problems!

Im in. Managed to loose 4lb in the past 10 days with a combo of WW and 5:2 (don't ask...) but another 18lb (is that right?) by Easter would put me back at 9.10 which is just 7lb off my initial goal weight and will take me to the top end of a healthy weight!

I run home from work which works very well for me :)

I run after work, usually between 6-7. I find it hard to be motivated to go straight out again but mornings are not an option during the week as DH leaves very early so I am here with the 2 DC. I run with a neighbour which helps but I am absolutely determined to get another 8 - 10lbs off and I don't think I will do that without upping my activity so that is what makes me do it!!
