I'm fed up. Dieted 2 years ago and lost 3st, put it all back on with dd. She's now 4 months and I got stuck in a rut of takeaways and crap food. I have a horse Im too heavy to ride and none of my clothes fit. I'm Done with this body! Done with being a blimp.

So Monday I put my big girl pants on cause they're they only ones that fit and totally gutted my house of crap. Did some shopping and have had a good week of fruit smoothies, omelettes and chicken. But I know by the end of next week I'll be wobbling.

Help me please? I think I've got about 10st to lose overall but obviously that is a very long term goal.

I think that's a massive part of it, I just think I'm not worth it etc so why bother. But no, I deserve to feel good about myself for the first time in my entire life.

Well done!

Losing weight is entirely psychological, and I suspect you need more reasons that just "looking better". What about having more energy, being healthy, setting a good example to your kids etc? I remember hearing an Paralympic gold winner talk about the fact he had 5 reasons he got out of bed to train every morning - it wasn't all 5 every day, but if he'd only had one it would have been enough to do it every day.

When you have enough good reasons and you're focused on them then you can keep taking control of what you put in your mouth.

Keep going!

Ooh thank you for the replies!

I've been on track ( bar yesterday where I was in bed with a horrendous cold) and have dropped a stone since I posted this thread Grin

Just eat healthy, avoid processed and junk, exercise regularly and be determined and regular. It's like a mantra to me, and I suggest everyone these simple general principles.

Take each day as it comes, don't think long term, just a day at a time, write a meal planner/diary for the whole week, tick each item of food off as you eat it.
Dont cheat, dont change it, stick to your calories no ifs or buts, make meals and snacks you enjoy and watch the weight fall off.
I started doing this last summer and have lost just over 6 stone now.
You can do it but you need to want to, if you think you will wobble you will.
Be kind to yourself, why eat the very foods that are making you miserable and holding you back?
