Hey would like to lose at least 2.5 stone but through usual cutting back and exercise but nothing faddy. Could do with someone with with a similar amount to lose so we can weight in weekly but not have to pay for WW or slimming world! I'm 42 and have been feeling crap! Drinking too much vino and also not exercising due to stressful office job but want to make the time to get out at lunchtimes! Have just had a crappy viral thing and high dose antibiotics so truly feeling crap and need to get motivated as am getting up to heaviest I've ever been. Any buds - starting Monday!

Hi everyone! Grin

Frankly at the moment I'm eating 3 meals a day- no snacks. Snacking is by far my biggest downfall. Chocolate, cakes, crisps...
I might even dig out my Davina dvd tomorrow. Maybe... Grin

Hello, can I join? 5' 5" and 12 stone 5. 42 years old and the weight seems to be piling on. My sister and I had a pact we'd never get past 12 stone but now look at me. :(

Well done all - ds1 got hand, foot and mouth and so he's had my iPad all day. I haven't lost much - quarter pound. Must do better..... Well done frankly. Welcome Muriel and mrs slocombe. Weigh in is on a Monday. I've been having bugs galore, but am feeling better so plan to REALLY start tomorrow. Grin

Hello again (have namechanged from TLP). Lost 3lb last week, but put 2lb on over weekend (PMT) and have ate vast amounts of bread and butter (PMT again) this afternoon. Ho Hum. So 12st 6 atm. My interim goal is to start the new year at 12 stone. I'm sort of calorie counting and exercising. Only managing 30 mins every other day, as v tired and achey atm. Have no idea whether I am over or under doing the exercise Hmm

Hi Muriel

Welcome, this thread seems to be abandoned today! Well my bmi this morn was 29.9!! It was 31 a few weeks ago and I was in the obese category somewhere I didn't think I'd ever find myself in but I have made a start ill be very happy when I get down to your weight now but like that would like to get back to per baby weight of 9 / 10 stone. So are you doing any kind of diet or just cutting out some things and see how it goes??? Any Tips would be appreciated!

F x

Hi, do you mind if I join in? Smile
I weighed in at 11st 7 this morning. I'm 5ft 2 so with a BMI of 29 I'm a breath away from being officially 'obese'.

I'm hoping to get down to pre-baby (babies now aged 9, 7 and 4!) weight of 9st.
Not even completely sure how I plan to lose it. Just cutting down for the time being.
It will be nice to 'check in' every week. Smile

Welcome kiwi dreamer - we are level pegging. I also only went to 13 st 9 lbs during pregnancy with dd3 and then los weight to 12 st 4 oz! Lack of vino. That is my downfall. Hoping to get back on straight and narrow this week Grin

Hello everyone, room for another? I haven't 100% decided what plan I'm going to follow just yet but might try a week of 'being good' and see how I get on. Weight this morning is all time high of 13 st 5lbs which is only 3/4 lbs less than full term with 9lb 13oz baby.

Today I've eaten a banana, cup of homemade pumpkin soup & 3 corn thins, half a piece of toast/nutella and a few mouthfulls of kids pasta blast it, huge issue with me eating kids leftovers, chicken & veg stir fry for dinner, ok start not brilliant but ok, 30min cross trainer this morning.

I should track it properly but it's so boring!!

hey saint, apart from being fussy with food, we seem to be virtually the same bodywise. Unfortunately I looooooooooove food, have never met a cuisine I don't like, from chippy to sushi to pastie to thai etc. I am finally getting back into exercising this week, no more excuses to myself!

Well done all - I haven't weighed myself yet but I haven't really been focussing on the diet so I doubt I've lost anything (will weigh myself when I go for a shower). Not an excuse but was still feeling rubbish so after a trip to Drs, on another antibiotic now and now that's kicked in, finally starting to feel better and my temp is down - so no more excuses for me! Starting again today! Frankly - 2lbs! Great - healthy weight loss. Dietstartsmoz - fabioso! Welcome saint merry weather....

Morning all, I have weighed myself this morning and I have lost 2.5lbs, so I am pleased with this. How have we all done?

joining in! ive weighed myself this morning and am 12st 6lbs near enough, and at 5"3 and a big size 14 im pretty much obese. i look terrible and feel.terrible and would like to lose at least 2 stone. my problem is i am really fussy with food and eat far too big portions so i need to address that. will try and start the shred again but not holding out much hope of that working, i get bored of jillian after quite a few aborted attempts!

i have taken a motivational picture of myself in my underwear and am keeping it close at hand in case i decide i want some chocolate or something

Morn folks, just back from another hour walk with dd, the fitness is def starting to return was able to go a little bit further this morn. Managed to stay away from the biscuit tin yesterday and again nothing after 6 so hopefully can keep it up, salad for lunch and a healthy veggie dinner for this eve, trying to have a meat free day once a week. Hi knit fast yeah it's great we're all around the same, totally agree blueberry it is amazing what works, good old fashioned less in and a bit of exercise, nothing too mad and try to make it a way of life instead of mad fad diets.

Dietstarts I have had to stop watching the great British bake this time, I love it too, will miss the silver fox!!! But I can't watch it without cake or tea and biscuits!!! So I go walking now when it's on!!!!
