I'm keeping a pretty close eye on developments for Monday. some of the models (in particular gfs) are showing a deep low developing over England, with the majority of the gfs runs taking the worst of the wind over the south.

Massive if. But if the weather were to pan out as those models are suggesting it would be a damaging storm, especially given the trees still being in leaf. I'd keep an eye on the met office early warnings page and if they start warning about it then it would be a good weekend to tidy the garden before you lose your stuff

We're in East Kent and, according to BBC weather, the worst will be at 2am-ish.

We have lots of HUGE trees by the side of our house so have set up camp in mine and DH's bedroom with 3 mattresses on the floor, on other side of house. 3 DCs all think its very exciting, well, not the 15 yo obviously.

Afternoon

After a lovely if blowy morning, it is now rainy and the gusts of wind are getting stronger according to my little weather station on top of the shed . 22.8 mph is worst though so far so not too bad. However the pressure is dropping (which I think is a bad thing?).

My chickens are not at all happy though as we've taken the tarp off their run so they're being blown over which I am not laughing at at all. The trampoline is flipped. So we're as ready as we'll ever be!

We're in Catterick, North Yorkshire and have some pretty strong winds & rain which have developed in the past hour. We wasn't expecting it this far up. The trampoline is lifting a little. Oops!
