apologies if you've seen this info on a couple of threads but this week does look rather concerning weather wise - with the possible for repeats of more severe gales and I think it would be helpful for people to have an idea of what may be coming up.

It is looking a pretty concerning scenario this week: The storm system Monday/Tuesday looks potent for first the SW and then the north. Then Friday. A long way off but at the moment the storm looks stronger than last weeks. At the moment Scotland looks most at risk but the track is still uncertain. All I can say is be prepared and if your property has suffered damage then I would do your utmost to effect repairs asap.

More snow here today, thats every day since Friday, its well over our wellies in the fields and park and not much better on the roads! Sad Its not all fun and games, have so far missed seeing two people to deliver presents and missed my hair appointment. Working at 6am every day till xmas eve from tomorrow and am pretty terrified of the drive at 5am. Sad

I'll trade anyone snow for rain if they want!

p.s Shineon we got winter tyres for the first time this year and our wee Clio was beating 4x4s up hills, DH is well impressed.

No snow in Leicestershire - despite the local weather last night warning that we were in for a lot of it.Apparently it snowed in a village about 5 miles south from us though.

Hope the 'real' snow holds off until Christmas Eve, when we're all where we should be! Xmas Grin

Can actually cope with the snow this year , had a few coverings but it is melting away. Can actually navigate the car up and down the hill to our house. Had a couple of mornings digging us out. The kids have managed to play in it. The kids at nursery have had a couple of mornings out in the snow (today was really fat flakes) but have still managed to drive the car.
This is enjoyable snow as opposed to last year delivering everything to home via sledge.

We has sleet here and a tiny bit of snow fall (near Portsmouth) but that was it. Got very cold though now - it was warmer during day when sun shone.

West Midlands - no snow. Not sorry about that. Have fun today Puff!

And Snowy - we'd never think you were rubbish - you saved my life last year!!! When all around were doubting my doomsday forecasts for flights out of Heathrow (formed purely from your advice), I finally persuaded school to get our exchange student on an earlier flight, and she was on virtually the last plane out. Not an easy girl - would have been a challenging Christmas!! Grin

Although I am firmly anti-snow - it is so so so beautiful here today, will take some pics later, hope it is going to be a nice crisp sunny day - but as the snow is still falling I suspect not!

DH got out okay so must have come later than 3am, I am not working today so once he is home safely its out to play!

I'm starting at 6am every day next week - any weather predictions for then?
