Weaning going a bit tits up!

Weaning was going v well with DS - started with purees which he lapped up! From about 24/25 weeks I introduced finger foods and lumps. Both were initially taken to well but now ds won't eat his lumpy veg/chicken - he will only eat fruit puree or finger foods. I got away with hiding his veg/diner in fruit puree for one meal but now he has become wise to my trickery.

He only has fruit as a pudding after tea, so only once a day. I can't decide if its the lumps or the veg he is opposed to? Will he get over this, and quickly?

As he is ok-ish with finger foods I am toying with BLW but feel a bit out of my depth (and not enough patience!) for that.

DS is 27w BTW, any advice, or just sympathy greatly appreciated!

I find that they go through phases of going off things now and again. My DD used to love prunes as finger food (I used to chop them up in her tray and she used to shovel them in) - now she won't even put them in her mouth, she just squishes them - but will happily eat them if I add them to her cereal.

I say just keep offering him them. Or Another thing to consider is is he teething or feeling a bit ill? This can put them off certain foods sometimes.
