Weaning

24 weeks or 6 months?? When did you wea?

As title really.... Hadnt really thought about it until the other day, but when they say wean at 6 months do they mean calendar months?..... prob a silly question!

yes suppose 2 weeks isnt that bigger deal in a whole lifetime lol....!

They mean 6 mths - which is 26 weeks. I think this is in all the literature - Birth to 5, DH leaflets and so on.

But it's not a big deal - some time around 6 mths is fine, and some babies will be a bit later and some will be a bit sooner. It's not as if individual babies all need solid food on exactly the same day, just as none sit/crawl/walk on exactly the same day :)

6 months is a guideline so if you feel you and baby are ready a few weeks before/after just go for it!

6 mths = 26 weeks, ie half of 52.

But anywhere around that is fine!
