And why?

And what would you do there?

I repeat, without children.

No sexual details please, what would you do outside the hotel room

Burnham Market? Hoste Arms for the stay and Fishes virtually next door for the seafood?

I'm feeling oddly guilty now, because I had a vague idea, posted it, and now you're being really really helpful and I feel like I'm taking up way to much of your time on a whim.

There are just the two of us, we're not very fussy, and also not very rich, but obviously a nice place would be better if it's cheap (tell me about the one with a pool!). We might want to pop over for just one night, so need somewhere that doesn't have a minimum stay. DP was quite taken with this one as it looks very good value and we could go to the Fur & Feathers an drink lots of Woodfordes beer.

So what sort of thing do you want (I put a list on further down)

DP did this face at me when I said someone I don't know on an internet forum has offered to take us out on a boat. Not sure if he fears most: that we will get mugged and dumped in a swamp or just that he'd have to make polite conversation.

Can't say no to the offer of recommendations though.

None at all

Do you want recommendation for accomodation?

Buy people beer so they take you on boats, got it!

Try brancaster beach on the North Norfolk coast. Really lovely beach, shallow water and about 5mins down the road from Wells.

There is also some sort of adventure trail thingy in Thetford Forest, my friend (who is young and has no kids) used to go a lot, and said it was great.

Oh come to Norfolk all the best MNers live here.

Holkham has a nudist area y'know. Sandy beach, nudity, what more do you want? Some very spiky grass on the dunes though if you do partake. Careful now.

Ranworth is v cute. If you lurk around the broad and talk to people and buy them drinks you might get a boat trip too...

So what we need is for one of those to be a town/village that is nice to visit, and for someone to recommened a hotel/b&b/inn nearby.

Not asking for much at all.

DP has found this which is not far from the Woodfordes brewery tap.
