Looking for recommendations!

Hoping for a weekend away for DS2's 4th birthday in September. Anyone been to Primrose valley / Reighton Sands / Cayton Bay/ any others?

We are taking 10,8 and newly-4 year old; good indoor pool/water slides is a priority, as well as good outdoor play facilities.

Not too bothered about evening entertainment!

Thanks for your help.

We've just got back from Blue Dolphin - the outdoor play areas are ok but not great, and the pool is nice and clean, with three water slides at one end. There's a soft play area too which was fun for the littlies.

Reigton Sands has a basic pool so no good if you are after slides, but the tractor ride down to the beach is good fun!
We're off to Blue Dolphin tomorrow for the first time. It has water slides Smile

Reighton Sands is nice but as it is a smaller park there are not really slides etc that I can remember in the pool. There is a play area which wasn't that good but OK. You can stay at Reighton and use the facilities of the 2 other haven parks apparantly but we never did that. We chose Reighton as it was a smaller park. The beach is right near the site down a steep hill. There used to be a tractor ride down hill (not for the faint hearted!) but I was told it isn't operating anymore. Shame as it was fun. Don't write off the evening entertainment, kids love it. I drove past Cayton Bay which looked nice but have never stayed there. The beach was across the road from the park and it was abit nearere Scarborough.

We have been to Reighton sands and Primrose valley , if your only priority is water slides then Reighton sands is no good.
Both have outdoor play areas.

I have been to primrose Valley 4 times. It had millions spent on it about 5 years ago. We have always stayed in top of the range caravans and they have always been immaculate. This site is huge with 2 pools(the leisure pool is great but gets very busy!), boating lake, play park, small fairground, clifftop location amd there will be plenty to keep all of your children amused. Reighton Sands and Blue Dolphin are also Haven sites but are in need of refurbishment but less crowds due to being much smaller sites.
