Kurio Tablet

My ds will be 7 next month and has said he would like this for his birthday. He uses my ipad so I know he'd get a lot of use out of it but it is expensive. Just wondered if anyone had bought one and if it was worth the money.

Thanks mumofpoppy. Good to know that she's really happy with it. I have bought him one and so far it looks good. Its not his birthday for another week or so but I've been putting some of my music and stuff on it for him. Just need to set up the Kurio account for more apps and then it can go back in the box and get wrapped up. Just hope he likes it x

We bought one of these for DD's birthday, she was desperate for one as she loved our iPad, but we didn't want to fork out for another just for her, so this was ideal. She absolutely loves it and there are so many apps on there already that I haven't had to pay for any more games yet!! She also loves taking pictures and videos on the two cameras!
We have set the time controls so that she can play for two hour-long slots a day between 10am and 6pm and amazingly, she doesn't have a tantrum when it turns itself off!
I also love that we can leave her to play with it as we set up the internet filters for her age-group, so that she can't see anything she shouldn't online and she is safe to surf the net on her own! There is also a rubber cover to protect it if they drop it, so I don't have to make her sit still and not move as I did when she played with the iPad! lol
I think it's great value for money and all her friends want one now they have played with it - if you can afford it, go for it
