Have you ever seen a UFO?

I haven't but my mum said in the 70s she was driving through Wales with her family and her and my aunt could both see a bbig bright light in the sky. It appeared to follow them and stay above the car, almost blinding light. They were shouting and pointing but their parents couldn't see a thing and told them to stop being silly.

They were both under 10 and still remember it vividly. She says it was a round bright light that moved smoothly and silently.

And my mum is not woo at all!

DH and I saw something last year, at about 11pm walking to our front door. We back on to open fields and quite high up at the back was a red light pulsing in and out, and kind of jumping at speed from one spot, to another(teleporting? Was quite a big gap between spots) We stood watching it for about 5 minutes in awe. Tried to film it but my phone is shite.

My ds (7) came running down one morning to tell us there was a spaceship outside his bedroom window. Dh and I were drinking coffee and chatting and were somewhat dismissive at the time.
Apparently after we said ‘ that’s nice dear’ or something similar he went back upstairs and it was still there. When he called out to us again it flew upwards into the sky very quickly. He kept talking about this for days and still brings it up sometimes. The detail he can remember about the ‘spaceship’ is significant.
He never has nightmares, makes stuff up or imagines anything so it’s very strange.

Not me but my parents, who are as disinclined to the woo woo as you can hope to come across...

They were watching tv in bed in the early hours and as their bedroom backed onto Fields they were not overlooked and so hadn’t shut the curtains. The window was open and from the horizon they saw an orange orb travelling fast towards the house. It passed low over the house but was soundless and they both jumped out of bed and ran to the front bedroom to see it disappear over the buildings across the road. They saw it from both the front and back and said it was like a fast ball of shimmering orange light and didn’t look solid. Neither of them could identify it as a known object although my mum is determined that it must be military as aliens don’t exist (she thinks).

I saw something when I was 10. An orange dot which looked like a
Slow shooting star.

10 min later it was
Hovering above some poplar trees. Large orange triangle which was totally silent. It wasn't solid. Was a hollow triangle with a central column and an x shape through the middle. Completely silent and twisted above the trees and shot off.

A group of workmen also reported seeing same thing as theynledt their 10pm
Shift at the chocolate factory in York.
It
Was in the Yorkshire evening press the following day.

I saw something that to this day cannot explain. I was 15 (now 38) so before drones etc and I was turning my horse out in to her field.
I heard a fast but quiet whirring noise so I looked up for some sort of plane. Coming from my right was a round metallic like object with blue lights. It seemed to move across very quickly, hover to my left, then fly off upwards. I can still remember the bottom had several rings almost like the bottom of a saucepan. It wasn’t very big but I’ve never really understood what it could have been. To this day I have never seen anything like it since.
I do remember telling my Dad when I got home. Completely expected him to laugh and tell me not to be daft. Instead he got a pad and pencil and wrote down everything I told him. He told me it was important to record it all incase one day I forgot. He died 5 years ago and I often remember how pleased I was that he absolutely believed me. I wish I’d asked him where he put the note though.

My son told me he saw a spaceship in the night out of his window when he was small. i will never know if it was true, but he was absolutely convinced at the time.

We believe we've seen one. About 10 years ago on a camping trip in France. A stunning campsite in an old quarry, absolute silence staring at the stars one evening.

There was a bright light that zigzagged and then zoomed off. My dad is not woo in the slightest, and as a sailor has done a lot of celestial navigation and seen thousands of shooting stars - he was the first person to suggest that it may have been a UFO because it definitely wasn't a shooting star.

It was unusual enough that we all noticed it and were all a bit boggled.

When i was a teen home alone babysitting younger siblings. I was looking out the window i dont know why, when i see a light moving across the sky, i assumed it was the poilce helicopter as it was always circling due to the fields behind us. I watched it for a while going left to right across the skyline above the houses. Then all of a sudden it shoots into the sky super fast and if i had blinked i would have missed it never told anyone, only told my husband last year when......

We were driving home late with the kids in the back, it was pitch black and up on the fields above town (there have been sightings up there before) my dd starts shouting did you see that? Of course we enquire as to what she had seen. She states she saw a black triangle low down over the ground flying, moving fast no lights. No one else saw it.

I believe life exsits in some form out there. Have they visted us ?? I dont know

Anything can be a UFO if you're bad enough at identifying things.

Has anyone seen that doc on Netflix about Bob Lazar? It's pretty interesting. He claims to have worked at area 51, and talks about reverse engineering UFO technology.

I haven't seen one but I do have a relative who made one and caused great excitement in the UFO spotting community.

User your Wollongong experience also sounds similar to mine and was also 20 plus years ago in Australia!
I would be interested to know if either satellites or military aircraft can actually manoeuvre in the way I saw these objects move... slowly at first and then zig-zagging incredibly fast prior to zooming off in the same direction leaving a trail of light behind...
If anyone has any insider knowledge of these things [that's not classified Grin please let us know!

I think they will be military planes, countries spying on each other. Our technology is probably more advanced than we are told.

After the second incident, I told my dad about the first one half expecting that he would laugh at me about it - he can be a bit rough at times like that. He didn't at all but much to my surprise but told me about something he and my mother had experienced either when we were very small and unfortunately asleep in the back of the car. They were driving up a long mountain pass (again in the Blue Mountains) when my mum suddenly said "A, what's that?' and pointed off to a valley at the side. An absolutely enormous silver, cigar shaped object was flying slowly through the valley . Dad said he'd never seen anything like it. There was no sound. They listened to the radio/TV all day after that and about five hours later there was a radio report of meteor sightings . Dad said it was definitely not a meteor.

I asked him why he didn't tell us about this incident all these years and he said he didn't want us to think they were crazy.

redsheep the aliens are being more careful now! 😜

I believe. Aliens definitely exist. I think there is a big government conspiracy particularly around Area 51. I think it goes deeper than we’ve know and I think people have been silenced.

I think we have. My husband were sitting on the foothills of a large mountain near Wollongong, Australia (well not large by European standards but it stands out in the area). We were gazing eastward at the stars and saw what we assumed to be a satellite moving slowly from north to south. It was definitely way too high to be a plane - basically looked like a moving star. Then it stopped which was a bit strange. It stayed still for about two minutes whilst my husband and I debated whether satellites stop orbiting or not (they don't). Then it suddenly shot across the sky back the way it came (so south to north) at amazing speed, without burning out or any noticeable acceleration. This was 23 years ago and haven't found a reasonable explanation.

Two years ago we were completely alone near another large mountain (Mt Banks) in the Blue Mountains to go stargazing on Bew Years Eve. We were sitting in the car waiting for it to get a bit darker when I got out to get the kids some chocolate from the trunk. Then I saw this orb of light moving silently across the sky followed by another one.I excitedly called my husband and kids out and whilst we were watching, they suddenly flickered out as they approached the city (Sydney). I posted on a UFO forum about it the next day and found out that they were likely to be US NOSS satellites which are low orbiting. So a little disappointed 😄 with that!!

No, I haven't, and I'm skeptical. The thing that stands out to me, is that just at the point when everyone has a video camera in their pocket, the sightings tail off dramatically. Now why would that be? I'm sure there are aliens somewhere but I reckon when they come it'll be more like Independence Day, they won't be mincing about trying not to be seen.

Quick name change for this because it’s a bit outing to people I know are on here.

A few years ago some friends and I were driving home in the absolute arse end of nowhere (all totally sober) at about 1am when we noticed, flying right alongside us above the field next to the road, was a huge black triangle.

We all assumed it was a military jet (rural, military city, not an unusual sight) but then realised there was no sound & it didn’t appear to be travelling faster than our car (60ish). The triangle was on its side so two lights at the back, one above the other & a light at the front. Another car in front of us had completely slowed down, obviously looking at the UFO too. Both back lights suddenly turned off & whatever it was sped off & disappeared. A police car with its sirens on then shot past us (probably a coincidence but it adds to the drama haha).

This was years ago now but it still makes me feel weird! Probably a totally innocent explanation but it freaked us all out.

Spoo I think there were four separate lights/vehicles/entities but who knows?
Otherwise Natural and Fire seem to describing similar experiences to mine - bright orange lights, zig zagging at an incredible speed and a sudden disappearance... Interesting Smile

Not seen anything that couldn't be explained logically. I do however think there are definitely inhabited planets/ships out there, just not as advanced as making it here & also no reason to.

My mum has a story like yours OP - I've never seen one. In 1960s, in rural Sussex, where she lived at the time in early evening I think, a circular expanse of lights like a flying saucer which they followed in their car. DM swears blind how the lights were etc it was a flying saucer and nothing else. Her first DH saw it too but she hasn't heard from him for years. Accordingly to them they hadn't been drinking either.

She did write to a society or something but apparently nothing was being tested or was seen in the area.
