Hi all,
Happy Friday and I hope this finds each of you well.
A few of my teacher friends recommended I post in here, and yet, if it's not appropriate I'll remove it without question...
I’m looking to do some free speaking engagements in schools and colleges to test and refine my keynote and tailor it to the needs of teachers and students so that it’s absolutely fit for purpose.
To give a bit of detail, my specialist topic is overcoming the ‘compare & despair’ caused by social media. I’ve being blogging, doing workshops and speaking about this for a while and I would now specifically like to take this message to young people aged 14 to 18 years old. (Please see this link purely for more info: www.proofcoaching.com/speaking/)
I want to try and help young people grasp some key insights that include, but are not limited to:
- The difference between a digital identity and an offline reality
- How to avoid obsessing over other people’s lives and beat jealousy to focus on, and commit to, their own goals and dreams
- Dispelling the myth of ‘the perfect life’ as suggested by social media feeds
- Become aware of the implications of sharing too much (risky pictures etc.)
Therefore, would anyone here be open to having a conversation about how I could support your PSHE and student care initiatives via some free speaking opportunities at your school or college?
Thank you so much for your time on this,
Lucy x
