Omid Scodie says Meghan was wrong about Archie becoming a prince at birth

He has publicly stated that Meghan was incorrect about her understanding of the protocol around Archie becoming a Prince.

Considering Omid seems to the M & H unofficial spokesperson, it is more than likely that Meghan now realises this is the case and his skin colour would not have been a deciding factor in it.

it does make you wonder why Harry did not explain it to her ? did he just not have a clue about about Royal protocol and succession, maybe he never needed to understand it. . Or was he so desperate to get her to marry him that he fed her a load of bull, i.e. our kids will be princesses and princes. Did he hope he could convince the queen to change protocol for his family?

Please don't get this thread deleted with comments which MN don't like, I am beginning to suspect there are posters who purposely troll M & H threads to ensure MN will delete them, so there is never a discussion allowed to stand..

I can't imagine why.

I've recently seen several newspapers referring to (variously) Harry’s current wife, Harry's now-wife, the ex actress, the former Royal.

Seems to be a pattern.

Oh Crocidura I do hope so.

Could we all look forward in any way? Do hope so.

Agreed. Having said that, with no disrespect to Her Maj, I am quite looking forward to the coronation, I imagine it will be pretty epic.

'But I'll be interested to see if Charles has more radical ideas in mind about the structure and function of the organisation.'

I hope they ditch some of the pomp and grandeur. I loathe all the bowing, curtsying and 'your majesty' crap.

Yes, they've all been on social media for years so have definitely adopted new ways of communicating and do it quite well I think, on the whole.
But I'll be interested to see if Charles has more radical ideas in mind about the structure and function of the organisation.

'I refuse to believe that someone whose career was about learning lines for a tv show couldn’t learn the National Anthem. It’s only 14 lines, including some that are repeated'

Exactly! Not the most complex of tunes. Didn't the Queen make sure she had the most experienced of advisors and support at her disposal? And where was H in all this, it isn't as if he worked full time and couldn't show her the ropes 🙄.

I think it's started. To me, it's a big thing with W&K with their youtube channel.
Change has to happen

Yes indeed - in fact I think the RF is interested in modernising - they'd be very foolish if they weren't constantly thinking about their relevance etc. In the nicest possible way, this is probably not the appropriate time, with the Queen so elderly. Charles seems to have some ideas though and H+M could certainly have been a big part of that when he becomes King.

Saying "we have single-handedly modernised the monarchy" was a bit much though.

@smilesy that was a good article. It made a good point about the vague references ie ‘they’ or ‘the institution’. If you’re going to do a bombshell interview, do it properly. If you’ve got beans to spill, spill them or don’t open the can at all.

Roussette · 07/05/2021 20:26

Crocidura I think they could have been modernisers of the RF were capable of modernising.
Which they aren't!

They say that is what happened and I believe them.

Do you believe the Queen or KM and W when they talk ?

Wonder why you don't believe MM

Because she has told lies previously?

Who said that? Apart from the DM and you!

They (or whoever contacts the press on their behalf) did, to CNN, around the time of the ITV doc.

"Harry's camp", as The Times put it.

I looked at that article thank you smilesy

It was interesting, an eye opener and some of it, I felt, was very fair. It was a view, an opinion piece but I did feel it was well written and worth a read.

Good grief how can anyone know what a person they've never met or never spoken thinks or expects, that's just assumption.
