Boy kitten (7.5 months) has a real thing for pencils, he steals them and runs off with them, and spends ages rolling and flicking them about, it is his greatest joy.

Girl kitten (5 months) likes DD's troll toys, she nabs them by the hair and runs off with them, she also has a thing for the puppies from older DD's puppy suprise toy, she steals them and runs under my bed with them where no one can reach.

Idiot kitten (6 months old) has an obsession of biting and scratching toes. I have just had to throw him out of our bedroom as he was constantly biting through the duvet to get my feet. He keeps going for DS2's (age 14) feet when he sits down anywhere. There is no aggression, just sheer playfulness

Yes to sitting on random bags left lying about- laptop bags, rucksacks etc, And also to the twigs thing- always found twigs littered around the house and also a pile on the doormat outside the back door that were too big to carry through the catflap! The strangest one though was those pieces of plastic you had to pull off drink bottle tops to open them....not sure they exist any more, but one of my cats was obsessed with them and would even climb a ladder to get one. Endless fun for my sons- who would put them in the most unlikely places and stand back to watch! Sadly said cat is no more, and I miss her antics to this day.

Grin - Apparently I store my hair bobbles underneath my bedside cabinet along with a small collection of toy mice.

Mine has only just discovered them. I now have no hair bobbles as "I hid them in secret cat place an NOT telling human where"

Oh yes, those coiled bobbles. She will climb up on my shoulder and try to remove them from my hair

Mint Viscount wrappers: foil, but mint scented. Cat crack in this house!

Foil. Specifically screwed up foil in a ball, mainly for playing footall but he will carry it around in his mouth to a better place to play football. His hearing is great which has buggered up me sticking my head in the cupboard for a sneaky Viscount biscuit. Easter was not good - he'd sit by whoever had an easter egg and beg for the foil.

Crazy kitten loves rubber ducks whether it's the ones I collect or the dgcs rubber ducks in the bathroom, she also has a cuddly lamb that's bigger than her who she likes to drag round behind her, also if my dd wears her hair in a messy bin on the top of her head crazy kitten tries to curl up on her head

I have a tiny little silver seal ornament that one of my cats loves. She likes to steal it and bat it around the kitchen.
She will scale the dresser to get it and ignore everything else on there

Love this thread. I’m getting mental images of households all over the place watching their cats hurry around with odd items and thinking wtf?!

Superdrug bag. Anytime I come home with one fat cat goes crazy and tries mugging me as soon as I or anyone with the bag walks in the house.

Straws. fat cat also has a love of straws.
Licking wood. Not sure what that one is about. He sits and licks my bookcase. He's an odd one

Skinny brother. Cauliflower. Like fat brother will mug anyone who walks in the house with a cauliflower. He loves the taste.
Earwax from one of my dd's.

Both love a creepy looking doll. They take it in turns to cuddle up to the creepy fucker. Both love tinsel.

Mine likes small stretchy toys that dd often gets in party bags (either tiny man shape or insect or something). The minute she sees one she goes into a frenzy, throwing it in the air, catching it, chasing it. The other day she got hold of one and ended up pulling the curtains down because she threw it onto them, then pounced, got her claws stuck and yanked them so hard the curtain pole came down.

Mine likes to jump into bags and hide there. He
Ives bobbles on bobble hats and often steals them to hide under ds's bed. He can always be found inside a cardboard box secreting a pice of paper

One of my 8 month old kittens loves a little figure of Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc that my son has. He grabs poor Mike by the hand and drags him away to hide him behind a chair. Another kitten is obsessed with Nerf bullets and will bat them about and carry them round. Strange bunch of cats I’ve got.

One of older cats loves hair bobbles, chasing, chewing etc. Have to buy him his own packs of them from Primark. They're bloody everywhere! 5 month old kitten has appropriated DS' little soft toy dragon as her own. Carries it around all over the house playing with it. Even takes it up to bed with her at night.

Spaghetti hoops. And the shower they wait outside and as soon as you vacate they are in there.

Yes to Nail Files, especially when used. Also to getting really excited by wet towels and the people in them when they get out of the shower.

Arthur particularly loves DD's sheepskin rugs. He gets quite beside himself Blush even though he is neutured. DD's get really cross.

My clean or worn bras with my last cat. He'd roll in them, play with them & hide them everywhere. Current cat loves shoving cardboard nail files under the sofa. I find her stash every time I hoover bless her.

My old lady (19 when she passed) loved the Christmas tree going up... not for the tree but for the big boxes the tree and decorations came in... even as an old girl she knew the sound of the tree being taken out of the loft.
Other old girl (22 when passed) loved a handbag. She would also sit on a postage stamp sized piece of paper on the table ... she also loved a good curry, and onions and garlic which apparently weren't good for her. 22 ain't bad

Last year mine had a red ball ( expanded polystyrene covered in red felt stuff), no idea where it came from and assumed it must have been from a multipack of toys and I'd just not really noticed it. Then he had another and another....
He was stealing them from next door's Christmas wreath!
Big boy, no problem reaching mid door height on his back legs. I didn't return them as they had all been heavily fanged by the time I worked it out ....

Bramble loves tea and toilet water. To be fair, DH's tea can often taste like toilet water but either way, you leave your mug down at your peril.
