Kitten gone missing

He is 5 and a half months old and booked at the vets for neutering tomorrow.

At his age, could he have gone on his first night time wander for a mate?

I am so worried. He is such a cuddly boy who likes being indoors.

Lordy - I would rather have thought that she would be spayed though if she's allowed out. The thought of sharing my home with an unneutered Bengal fills me with terror.

He hasn't previously got this close to the loo so maybe this is the start. I do have a rather green pond in my garden which all my cats love to drink from but maybe the fishy taste overrides anything else in that water.

I think his origins are actually rather feral. Definitely not Bengal. He was found living with his mum and the rest of the litter in a car park and taken to the animal charity I got him from.

We do have a beautiful Bengal cat living nearby though and if his night of absence was because he was with a lady friend I do rather hope she was 'the one'.

Does he drink out the loo? Mine does.

He's a beautiful little ginger by the way. Is he a Bengal?

All went well! Keeping him in for 2 days was no problem as he didn't want to go out after his adventure.
The deed is now done and he has recovered well.
He is back to his usual mischief today - he lost his collar and managed to fall down the loo in the last hour.

He was giving the pom poms a last airing.

Is he all ready for his op?

It wasn't the the talking so much as the scissors being waved around.....Grin

If you see a ginger kitten, deny all knowledge.

If I were you, I'd be keeping him in solid, Made. It's only two days.

(It sounds as if the hormones are stirring - Heck, there may even already be some ginger kits coming down on the neighbourhood in a few months time!)

He got out because he was allowed out. I wasn't concerned because he doesn't really leave the garden. We noticed him missing when we wanted to make sure he was secure inside about 7/8pm before it gets dark where I am. He was to be without food from 10pm so I thought there was plenty of time.
He will now be having supervised visits to the garden only and tomorrow I will keep him in all day.

Thank goodness you've got him back.

How did he get out? The furry blighter.

Good stuff. Smile

Shall you be keeping him in for the next couple of days?

Rescheduled for Thursday! So his balls live to see another two days.

He has been showered with lots of love and kisses so hardly learning any lessons over this incident.

And thank you. He is very gorgeous and the softest cat I have ever had.

He is just gorgeous ! Although it's hard not to believe that there's a certain triumphant quality to his gaze, there. Grin

Hope you get a rescheduled op easily enough. These things happen.

What will you do re the vet?.

What a beautiful cat, you must be so relieved he's home. I'd mention to the vets that he's been out and you can't be sure whether he ate anything during that time, see what they say.

What a relief!! He is gorgeous. You must let the vet know though in case he has eaten. Phew!!

He just returned!!!
He seems fine but wanting lots of love!
I suspect he was stuck in a garage but will never know. I will just have to put this down as one of those moments that all cat owners have to go through every so often.
So relieved!

Thank you for the responses. I appreciate it. He was last seen 6 hours ago now. The longest he has ever been out of sight before has been about 20 minutes. I fear I am clutching at straws hoping he has gone looking for a female.
I am now in bed and have left the window open for him to get in.
