The litter tray

Do you think it will be okay to let the cat out tomorrow?

We've had our new cat for less than 2 weeks. Tonight, he managed to push the window open and escape. As soon as I realised he was gone I went searching for him. I couldn't find him anywhere so I put the DC to bed. When I came back downstairs, I put my coat on and got the torch but when I opened the back door, the cat came in.

He'd been gone for about an hour. Do you think it would be okay to let him out tomorrow? I wasn't planning on letting him out for at least another week.

Thanks for the replies. I will keep him in a bit longer. DP thought I was being over cautious so I thought I'd check. He's absolutely desperate to get out now he's had a taste of the outside! Smile

I too would give it another week at least. And this is a good warning to other people who tend to underestimate just how good cats are at getting out of windows, even if they're very high up/ hard to access/ stiff to open whatever. A determined cat will do it.

Personally I wouldnt. Give it another week at least.

If he goes missing you'd never forgive yourself. Plus it'll be colder in 2 weeks time so he'll come back sooner.
