What is your cat called?

Just being nosy really and looking for inspiration

Does the name you've chosen suit him/her because of looks/personality or is it so inappropriate as to be ironic?

Also, does anyone give their pedigree cat a ridiculous moniker (a la Crufts), then a 'normal' nickname or is that just for dogs?

Chloe - sweet little black moggy, sadly didn't survive the anaesthetic when being spayed Sad
After that we got two kittens, on the advice of a cat loving friend. We named the tabby Candy - known affectionately as Candycat. She was small but feisty.
The other was grey with white paws, white 'bib' and a black nose which reminded us of a teddy bear, so we named her Teddy. Her nn was Teddybaws. She was sweet and gorgeous and a bit clumsy. She made a little chirruping noise when you stroked her or as a greeting.
Last cat we had was a small brown Burmese who was a rescue cat already named Hobbes.

We have a tabby called Toffee. When he arrived in my garden and made it into the house (and would not leave), I thought he was a she and called him 'Princess'.

Want to call him Mungo but too late now.

I have had:

Grace (the most graceless cat you could ever meet) who I adopted and just kept her name.

Se sadly died aged 16.

Then I had two kittens called Spike and Drusilla (am a Buffy lover). Sadly I lost Spike when he was seven months as he was hit by a car. I still have Drusilla but these days she is more commonly called Droosie the Floosie. And last year I adopted a cat who was left behind by a neighbour when they moved out (they literally abandoned her) and she is known as Little Whiskers because of her small stature (stunted growth as she had kittens when aged six months). She is three according to neighbours son who returned to pick up mail, they didn't want her back because "we've got another cat now" Hmm.

I have Sophie, she was called that when we got her. I had Dotty for 14 years she died in Nov. she was black &white & had Dots on her paws. She was called by her fosterer. We were going to change her to Jessie but she suited Dotty.

She started out as 'mystery cat' or 'spot' as she was a stray.

She is now Marquesa Gatto Mysteriosa, hunter of legs.

But day to day she is Misty.

We have three cats. Two brothers who started life as nancy and Tilly. We got them off a crazy lady who told us they were girls and we didn't think to check for ourselves! So at the vets Tilly was a Tom, therefore tommy and nancy was renamed bobby. Canon and ball. Tommy is currently on his spring walkabout. . . . . I'm optimistic he may return. . . . We live in the country and we have asked neighbours to keeps eyes out on the roads and in sheds for him. . .

And we also have another black and white cat called Charlie. He was blackie - named by an elderly couple who had dementia and since he was black, they could remember that name. Very vocal and is the house bully. The dogs are terrified of him. Recently got bitten by a fox but he was good as gold letting us look after his war wounds.

We call them Tom cat, bob cat and Charles charleston.

I love this thread! So many great cat names. I knew there was acrufts equivalent for showing cats but I didn't realise it was such a glam affair.

Our gorgeous new tortie kitten is Lily - know it's a common name for female cats but as soon as DH suggested it we knew it was the right name for her!

Ours is Oscar, or Ozzy as he usually gets called. He's black and white and very fluffy.

I wanted to name him Toby but it didn't suit him.
