Yesterday we said goodbye to our beautiful little Yorkie Molly. She’s been fighting diabetes for over a year, had gone completely blind, legs started to go and was losing interest in alot of things. Recently she got poorly and originally we just thought she’d eaten something. After a day or so of her vomiting we took her to vets to be told she had ketoacidosis. Whilst initially the vets managed to get her diabetes back under control it then started to sky rocket again. Further investigation also showed she had pancreatitis and Cushings disease so after much pained discussion we made the decision to let her go. We were with her and it was very peaceful. But I can’t help wondering what if though and feel so guilty about not continuing the treatment. I also miss her so much, it hurts. I know everyone thinks this about their dog but she was so special and loyal and loving and the house feels wrong without her. I don’t really know why I’m posting but somehow it helps writing it all down. Give your pets an extra cuddle tonight x
