How are your dogs post TPLO surgery?

Hi all,

Our dog had TPLO surgery last October and I think that she’s doing okay but she does still seem stiff and not as mobile as before.

She’s 13 years old, going deaf and blind and has dementia and so her walks aren’t long and vigorous as a younger dogs would be.

As a wire fox terrier her life expectancy is around 15 - 17 years, should we be doing anything specific to make her less stiff? She’s as happy as larry (and has no other major health problems) but I worry that she’s not as active as she was last year and it’s difficult to know whether this is due to the surgery or her old age. Thanks.

Sorry for not coming back to this earlier, thanks for the Yumove recommendations I’ll look into them.

It’s great to hear of all the dogs recovering successfully from this surgery.

Ddog had double TTA a couple of years ago. He's younger - now only 6. He had a series of carthrophen injections post op, and did a lot of hydrotherapy.
He now has Yumove and the very occasional hydro session if I think he's looking a bit stiff.
The vet said at the time that arthritis was inevitable with this type of procedure so I'm going with as much prevention as possible.

Is he on any supplements? Yumove made a big difference in our dog before and after TPLO surgery
