Puppy how many meals a day?

My whippet pup is now 14 weeks old and fed complete raw meals. We have been advised by raw food shop that he should have 3 meals a day until he is 6 months old then reduce to two. However he really doesn’t seem to want a mid day meal. It is now 2pm and he is currently snoozing on the sofa (as usual) and has no interest in having a meal. I have tried giving less at breakfast but he still doesn’t seem bothered about his lunch. I’m sure he would eat a bigger meal at breakfast and tea if offered and happily skip the lunch time meal but is this ok as he is so young or should I just wake him and feed him?

When my dog was 4 months old he wouldn't eat 3 meals, so I fed him twice a day. He still wasn't that interested in eating until i started walking him for 20/30mins before hihis morning meal and evening meal. Never had a problem with him not eating his food since. I put his food down and it's gone in about 5 mins.

Yes thank you. He’s a good weight and will eat his required amount over two meals so will go for it. He’s a typical lazy whippet who prefers to laze on the sofa all day!

If he's not eating lunch I'd switch to two meals a day.

I’m in the same situation with my puppy. She’s a bit older at 17weeks but for the last few days hasn’t really bothered with lunch. Yesterday she didn’t eat her breakfast until 11.30! I have decided to move to 2 meals a day for her as that seems to be what she wants. She has plenty of energy and looks healthy.
