Ddog has a fatty benign tumour on back leg. Vet last checked it out five weeks ago. Based on the fact dog is approaching 13yrs old, vet is in no rush to put her under anathestic. Now Ddog has never seemed to notice it before. But suddenly can't leave it alone (licking it). She's been laid out on the grass in the good weather the last couple of weeks and has possibly irritated it more. I'm not asking for veterinary advice of course! I'm booking her in for the weekend when off work (unless situation deteriorates). I'm more wondering if anyone has experienced this and what the outcome for putting the dog under anathestic was? I'm truly reluctant to at her age if I'm honest - I've known similar aged dogs pass away during teeth cleaning when asleep.
