We haven't had a photo thread for a little while and I love seeing other peoples canine friends.

Here are my hellbeasts. The collie is our Moll, I took the photo the other day when my daughter came home to visit, Moll loves DD she is her favourite person in the world so when DD said to her "Want a cuddle?" Moll leapt (literally) at the chance and had a lovely long hug.

The spaniel is Cop, he's our little red whirlwind who loves everyone in the family and seems eternally grateful for life. Both are rescue dogs.

Babyblackbird it's because it reduces their testosterone so they can become more nervous (or even more nervous-aggressive) when castrated.

I know it's different for everyone, but honestly, had I not had him neutered, I'm not sure how I would have coped. It seemed to just give him a different outlook, and then with guidance he began to understand that not everything was so scary. Except plastic bags, those are terrifying Grin

Wow that's very interesting. I have had so much advice not to neuter because that will make him worse ... Food for thought...

Everyone loves his ears, we all thought he would grow in to them but he never did !

Re neutering, he was a hot mess pre snip. Couldn't even look at another dog with out completely freaking out and having a melt down, walking down a busy street was a nightmare because everything scared him. Having him done changed him instantly, he was so much more relaxed, and with the help of a behaviourist he is a totally different dog. Still nervous but not a nervous wreck like he was before. However, I appreciate it won't be the same for everyone, our behaviourist was dubious at first on what impact it would have on him, but luckily it was for the best !
