Raw food suppliers?

Thanks to some lovely support from people on here a few months ago, I switched pizpup onto a raw food diet.

He's done really well on it but we recently moved to a small town where it's now harder to pick up chicken wings, liver etc and I'm considering ordering from a raw food supplier who'll deliver. I have great freezer space (finally) but as he's only 5kg I don't want to order too much in one go - does anyone have any recommendations?

Floral I can get 8kg (16 tubs) into 1 drawer of my upright freezer if that helps. Not sure if patterdales vary much in weight to BT's but I feed half a tub which is 3% for him.but I find he is still sleek and skinny at that so needs it. He is 8kg or there abouts.

I have a couple of cliplock tubs. I partially defrost couple of different flavour Nutriment tubs and scoop out a quarter into a cliplock tub after a couple of hours. Rest goes back in the freezer. I prefer to have variety and have no problems at all with smells in fridge or freezer.

He's a crossbreed and weighs about 13kg ,although he is very active he does tend to put weight on easily but I think that's because my DH feeds him digestive biscuits and cups of tea before I get up !

Grin You'd probably start out with a similar amount to what I feed then anyway and see how he does if he tends to put weight on. 2% is the norm but Maz is a skinny minnie and runs and runs too. I manage quite well with one drawer for my Nutriment order and then wings and bones shoved in half a drawer bagged up.

I feed my 10kg Patterdale mix who is active but prone to weight gain at 2%. He is very stable at this amount. My other dog is 16kg, not as active but needs 3% not to lose weight. They are all a bit different.

Do you guys have a starve day for your dogs? It's meant for detoxification. Supposed to give the dog's liver a chance to flush out its toxins as their digestive system works differently to ours. Theory is that dogs hunt in the wild, they would feast on large kills but they would have days they don't eat. Starve days are only for healthy adult dogs. Mine are still young but someone who feed raw asked me about this the other day so I'm just curious if others do it too.

Oh, I don't but Pizpup does that kind of thing by himself unless he gets something really tasty. Maybe he's just being primal, not picky, and I should stop worrying about it! Personally I'd find the idea of not offering food to something I am responsible for for 24 hours very hard, not sure I could do it (not judging people who do, I'm just quite sentimental I suppose)

I don't but again, mine self regulates and does his own every now and again. Sometimes over something he is not keen on, sometimes when he is just not hungry.

I am usually quite firm but ready to cave today and give him something else. He was fascinated when order came fri with first pack of duck necks but he is utterly resistant to their charms beyond nosing it. He hasn't eaten since friday afternoon now.
