to meet the cats and for the rescue to assess the house etc. We visited him today and took mum and dad too see him.

He is a lovely dog and I can't see any problems. But I am so nervous. I want this to work - we all do - so much. So worried it won't work out. So many people seem to have problems with their dogs.

Someone come and hold my hand... please.

Right! I have taken a day off (was able to take it as TOIL too!). Booked a session with Harley on Friday morning. All of going on Sunday. And then we will book cat test Grin

Yes, I know it's a good thing in the long run but but but... you know.

The bug wouldn't work - some bugger would be bound to see me out in the car. Trouble with working where you live...

just posted on your other thread..........

how did homecheck go?

maybe its a good thing that you are going in for some training sessions with dog. will help your confidence and give you time to prepare as well as showing you some training tips.

re time off work, there is a bug going round isnt there? Wink

He didn't come Sad

Was late getting back because of the traffic and was worried we'd missed them. But then chap rang and said he was held up. When he turned up there was no Harley - he only wanted to assess the house. We have to go for some training sessions with dog - trouble is fitting them in! DH finishes work at 3.15 some days but I have the car and I don't finish work until 5ish. Might take a sneaky day off.....

Feel a bit deflated.

Orm - i have been thinking about you and wondering whether i missed your home visit or not (ds finishing a levels and brain a muddle).

being worried about it working out is normal and shows how seriously you are taking the commitment of having a dog in your life for hopefully 10 plus years. i remember your earlier posts and it is something you have thought a lot about it.

i am sure it will go ok and dog sounds a good match for your family. as you know from all the threads on here having a good match is very important to the long term success of having a dog.

imagining dog on the beach with you in pembs. all of our dogs love it there
