Great news for all those in The Dog House. We've been given the opportunity to send our canine questions to none other than the Dog Whisperer himself, Cesar Millan. Cesar is over in the UK to promote his forthcoming new series of the UK version of 'The Dog Whisperer' which will be aired in UK on Nat Geo Wild in early February 2011. We'll be filming some members of Mumsnet HQ (plus dogs) putting your questions to Cesar in January and we will be airing the film across the site at the end of January, to coincide with the launch of his new series. To stand a chance of getting your question to Cesar, post them to this thread before end of Tuesday 21st December 2010.

I just read this thread from start to finish, I know it's old but it drew me in. I wonder if those supporters of CM have changed their opinions over the years? Some of the video links were truly upsetting. Never liked this man.

I'd also stop leaving them loose together.

Lady this thread is from 2010. The webchat never happened as so many people complained about having that bullying twat him on. I suggest you seek professional help from a qualified behaviourist, don't go to anyone who promotes pack leader/dominance as that is outdated and dangerous rubbish. It sounds dreadful, I hope you get the help you need. Good luck!

Cesar,

I don't know what else to do.
I have 2 yorkies and one I have had about 7-8 years so I decided to get another yorkie so that the male would not be bored at home and got a female from florida she was expensive and she came from PURE BREEDERS. She is now 1 year old and she has gotten very aggressive and has attacked the male yorkie to the point where NOTHING breaks her apart. She has attacked him more times then I could say and the last attack she did really hurt him she put a large hole in his neck bite a piece of his ear off and she made him poop on himself. This had to happen when we were not home. I own my own my business property rentals and can not be home all the time. I really love her but she had attacked him one time to many and hurt him bad. she lock jaws on him and nothing we do will make her let him go and she seems to attack him in the same spot all the time. I want to either get the help for her or I will have no choice but to get rid of her. I paid a good amount of money to have her fly to California not to mention her cost, I will do whatever I have to do to keep her at any COST. but I really don't know what else to do. Could you please help me save my picky boy from Roxy attacking him any more. I fear so much when I leave the house in the morning the I may come home and fund him either seriously hurt or dead from injuries. please help.

teenagewildlife. you have a duty to secure your garden to prevent the dog escaping. money will need to be spent. this is teh responsibility of being a dog owner. it costs money.

Am loving your thinking, Scuttle.

Not sure if that's a good thing though Xmas Grin

Question: How do I stop mu dog from climbing fences and digging to get out of the garden without spending enormous amounts of money?

Question: How do I get her to stop doing the things she KNOWS she shouldn't do and wont do in front of me - e.g. climb on kitchen table?

OK, Pimms optional - we'll have a mobile drinks cabinet towed by two wolfies Xmas Grin with a fold out dog treat section...

Baronial hall would be nice though. Imagine lots of sofas for the houndies, big fires for houndies to lie in front of, and lots of room for houndies to do zoomies/wall of death races in.

Yep, plenty of room for Sea Green and we'd have a rocking NYE party for the hounds with no fireworks. Oh, and my secret wish is for a cannon on the battlements which a butler would fire when it was time for my gin each night - could also use it for firing animal abusers over the battlements and into the moat, there to meet a watery doom...bwahahaha... suddenlsy realises thread has taken an unChristmassy turn and apologises...

Did somebody mention Pimms?

And we're supposed to groom our moustaches? Really?

AND there are camping threads....ooh....

And Val, I'm with you on not understanding camping. I'm too old for that nonsense, and my greyhounds like a warm comfy bedroom with room service. Anyway, how are you meant to groom your moustache in a tent? Xmas Wink

By the time you make camping half civilised, you've brought so much stuff and done so much work you might as well have stayed in a cottage and be on your third glass of Pimms while watching campers do comedy things with ropes and billy cans.
