No Place Like Home, where do they find these whinging losers?

Like today.

Erika, you chose to move to Oz and have kids there.

Now they're teens and don't want to move, and she only has 5 years before the youngest is 18 and can move back if she wants.

But all she does is bitch and moan.

A lot of these moaners don't know they were born!

I'm an immigrant myself, and sometimes, Scotland really gets me down, the weather, mainly.

But you know? When you move somewhere and have a family, it's not just about you and your whingy desires anymore.

What a cow!

She doesn't need a trip to England, she needs a kick up the jacksie!

Ooh! Deb, I saw your programme this week. And whilst it was on (missed the first bit though) I remember thinking, "there's a Deb on Mumsnet who lives in Austria and runs a guest house." I didn't think you were a whingeing loser at all. Glad you managed to make the decision, and your home turf (GB) looks lovely.

It was pretty irritating (I don't get ANTM on my telly so luckily wasn't tempted), but I still cried!

Todays was so irritating I had to switch over to ANTM

Yes, that bit was hard to watch as it was so obviously true!

He was just taking the piss trying to get out of getting a job. What's-her-face really caught him out on that, saying he was effectively retired in his 40s in Bulgaria. What was he going to do when the money ran out?

What a L-O-S-E-R.

I would have been shocked if he had made her stay in Bulgaria!

I am getting more and more homesick/emotional watching this programme but can't stop as am addicted.

OMG, the chap today is a total wanker!

She only has £15,000 left from selling her family home?

I'm thinking she used most of her money supporting his wanky dreams.

Gah! Sky+ failed I only saw 8 minutes, so I can't comment on whingyness I take it you are coming back then?

Actually you need to whinge a bit more with MrDebs, years writing a rock opera while you do all the cleaning .

You have beautiful children .

Ooh thanks DebInAustria, I will check out itv player later. I was about to ask where you are moving back from but just re-read your name

Hope you're able to make the move soon, Deb.

It looks like it's the right one for you and yours, although I do think you'll be able to find much nicer properties for your budget than were shown on the programme !

It was filmed last October, ds3 is now 14 months old! House is for sale but we're still accepting bookings for winter because we don't know how long it will take.So it's just a waiting game.

When was it filmed Deb? Are you in the process of moving now?

I do find the presenter of this show incredibly irritating. Her voice sounds like nails on a chalkboard to me and she's so fecking patronising on air I often feel inclined to want to box her ears, tweak her nose or slap her.

Hmm, I'm an immigrant myself. The difference is that there is no language barrier AND my husband is Scottish. As such, I think it's been far, far easier for me to integrate here, and our children were born here.

I think in Deb's case I'd be inclined to repatriate now when the children are still fairly young, tbh.

I used to go out with an Austrian man, and he was lovely and they were lovely people, but it was super-hard to get accepted even with him at my side.

I think if you've given a place a fair shot, and as many years as they've been there is definitely that, and you're still not happy, vote with your feet!

Sounds much more palatable than teenage decline!

Beatiebow - I'm hoping that you'll get to see our boys going downhill too - skiing!

The teenage boy on the Czech one was hilarious-he was certain if they moved to the UK he would 'go downhill'.

I'll put it on.

The ones today weren't so bad.

That one in teh Czech Republic was a bit of a moo, though.

'Oh, I don't like modern houses . . . '

But the presenter wanted to say, 'Well, then you'd better find some more money.'
