Wow.
Anyone see it?
I just can't imagine having the guts to do anything like that.

He obviously had a lot of money....for the trips across the atlantic, and even having access to do all that filming in the 70s.

But that was awe inspiring to watch.

It was fantastic!

I am afraid of heights and that lying down bit in the middle of the wire was unbelievably horrendous but fascinating.

What an amazing man. V glad he didn't fall off

I can't believe they didn't film the WTC walk. Actually, just thinking about it now is making my stomach flip and heart race.

I am not afraid of heights but I struggled with some scenes. Like when he lay down on the wire and got back up! Jeez!!! Amazing!

Not that I know of, Touching the void was directed by Kevin Macdonald who has also directed feature films too. I think he did Last King of Scotland and State of play. Man on wire was directed by James Marsh. However, I am not sure about the cinematographer, etc maybe the same producers, crew members?? Would have to look into it!

Wintera, was that done by the 'Touching the Void' people do you know?
it seemed to have a similar layout with the clips and interviews.

I don't think he had loads of money to be honest, I think it was a case of knowing the right people. He seemed to attract like-minded people who would then give him money towards his dream. Other times he raised the money by doing his act in different places. I think the video footage came from associating with film students. There wasn't any actual footage of the twin towers walk, it was all photographs.

I think it is one of the best things I have seen in a long time! I am so into documentary films at the moment. The best films that I have seen over the last few years have all been documentaries.

It was a brilliant film
I found the tension unbearable
ANd found him strangely attractive
All that passion and drive, was very romantic!
