Yes i think your right, now I'm to bed - hopefully to dream about bad boys and not mummy Hyde with her scary teeth!

James Nesbitt has oodles of charm.

I found him quite attractive as Mr Hyde too

yes, disturbingly sexy as Hyde! dh thinks I'm mad - it's the shining eyes I think.

I think we all love a bit of bad boy don't we?

It's strange but I found Hyde very good looking as well even though the change from Tom to Hyde was quite subtle compared to mummy/mummy Hyde, thinking about it I also liked the way he acted/spoke which could be funny at times - weird or am I weird?

Ditto Loobeeloo

I was mesmerised by this...God it was good!

I LOVED this. James Nesbitt is a good actor but I would have never thought he could be so fanciable..mmmm ...Mr Hyde!

Only just watched it as had it skyplussed - what an amazing finish. and didn't that little twin who winked look positively evil? bit like damien from the omen. Surely there has to be a second series?

Who will collect the BAFTA Dr Jackman or Mr Hyde?

Am I the only one who thought it impossible that a lesbian, feminist investigator (possibly with a new baby) would only seek to investigate the father's ancestry and not the mother's?

Secondly any child/children (presumably born to a prostitute) would have been impossible to trace. They could well have been anonymously abandoned. None of them presumably would have known their father's name.

Spoilt what was a fantastic episode. He could have just gone there and asked where he came from, repeating that Jekyll had no offspring.

Rest of the episode was fantastic. Wish they had gone into the twins more, though I am assuming that if there is a second series (I hope there will be as they have left a lot open), they will go more into the twins, and whether as his mother said, Hyde will ever truly disappear.

Was a fantastic series apart from that last scene.

Personally I thought it was a brilliant episode and a fantastic series and I think I actually understood it in the end It seems different people got different parts of it right.

His wife Clare was related to Alice or at least cloned from her, it was love that brought Mr Hyde, his mother and the Americian woman were one and the same and his twins are a bit strange!

I actually felt sad at the end for Mr Hyde

I think I will have to get the DVD, I presume anyone reading this has watched the final episode if not I'm sorry

I watched it last week and this week and am really confused but also very drawn in
The Hyde character....well, when he went for that guy on the peer he obviously was reaslly freaky, but in yesterdays episode he was quite funny....and now they are reunited the Jekyl and Hyde and back in full power, could be very interesting.
About that american woman...I was thinking maybe she is a relative or something....
hm.I am sure all will be clear by the end...unless it's like Lost that it nver becomes really clear, lol!

Imawurzel I can see where your husband is coming from and it does make sense

another theory I had is - does the maid look like Tom's wife hence the face is scratched out

or Robert Louis Stevenson knew it was the maid and not a potion so is he related to Tom? - stevenson and the maid

on another forum somebody thinks the americian lady is Tom's mum in disguise

I do seem to find Hyde scary and funny at the same time am I weird?

I am going to wait till next week as its driving me bonkers I think we could all write our own ending

Report
Imawurzel · 22/07/2007 15:53

It is odd.
Dh reckons that the maid does bring out the 'hyde side' and that they left together, cos everytime maid and jeckyll are together hyde comes along.
So, he reckons that they went off together, jeckyll 'died' hyde stayed, maid and hyde had children, and maybe thats why her face was scratched out of all those photos.

Does that make sense??
And that the woman that was jackmans mum is a desendant(sp) of the maid and hyde.
Doesn't quite make sense now i read it back to myself.
You get the gist.

saying that it was a very good dramatic episode and I really enjoyed it but it was obvious (well to me anyway) that Mr Hyde would come out of the box, is the link the sexual relationship between Tom/Mr Hyde and his wife as mytwopenceworth suggested or is his wife related to the maid? I'm getting even more confused can somebody help

Report
morgansauntie · 21/07/2007 22:02

I'm slightly confused! his wife is the link isn't she but what has the other woman got to do with it?

Morgansauntie - I thought his wife said that his eyes go black when he, erm, you know, plays hide the sausage and she was saying to her friend how good a lover she is that she can make him do that!

Just watched the trailer on the BBC website

His wife did say that Tom (Jekyll and Hyde) Jackman suffered from claustrophobia when they put him in the box. Could it be that Dr Jekyll died but somehow Mr Hyde survived -confined spaces = coffin, so he is a desendant of Mr Hyde but then where does his wife fit in to it all?. Just a thought will have to wait and see.
