Anyone else disappointed by "safe"

I had heard really good things about it, and the first few episodes got off to a good start, but as it went on the story seemed to get weaker and weaker to the point that I didn't even really care who had killed Chris in the end.

For me, some of the major issues I couldn't get past were...

1 the whole story was about missing Jenny, who as it turned out wasn't really missing at all, just choosing not to go home and eventually ending up at Bobby's

2 the 5 friends were all harboring this "awful" secret, which although being responsible for the death of 8 children isn't great, they were all children themselves, it was unintentional, and they would most likely have been charged as minors for manslaughter, so not exactly the most haunting past life.

3 after doing this awful thing, one of them decides a career as a detective is the route for her, whilst another becomes entirely mute...bit of a difference in experience there!

4 they all went to school together, and now most of them are neighbours...pretty unlikely!

5 sias dad confesses to the murder, yet Sophie agrees with the other detective when she says she doesn't believe him and they agree to keep looking...even though she is the murderer

I just found the whole thing to be a bit of a let down really! Anyone else?

I'll add another...

There were multiple suggestions that Bobby was "dangerous"...yet where was the actual evidence of this? Jenny was in his house unharmed...and then he shot himself.

Unstable sure...but dangerous, didn't seem that way.

Oh yes and the Irish stereotyped drunken ex husband in the caravan.....eh why ?
A gated community with an Irish drunk living in a drive (clutches her pearls!!)

It started off well, but then descended into silliness.
It was as if they were making it up as they went along .

Also, who broke into the Chris' family's house when Helen's house was on fire and messed up the office etc?

Agree op it started well but then went formulaic over suspicious each person she was seen with I actually didn't watch last few episodes.
. Try stranger things. Brilliant

Agree. I enjoyed it mostly but as each revelation came it got weaker and weaker.

I agree the whole 'secret' was an accident they were responsible for as children and just wouldn't have played out like that. It all seemed a bit silly.

I couldn’t get past the accent... I turned it off after five minutes.

I liked it, i was an easy watch to take my mind off things.

The only thing that really irked me was that we didnt know why Stella's husband was an alcoholic living in a caravan in the front garden??

I'm wondering if she let him stay there because he knew or a sibling died in the fire maybe???

I must admit to wondering what other people were watching Blush. I wasn't sure whether the dead Chris(?) bit was supposed to be funny, It seemed really ridiculous!
