I did enjoy series 2 but it just seemed to be trying a bit too hard with the twists and red herrings. The first series seemed to flow and still be really gripping. Like I said it was still very good though and I thought the acting was excellent.

He told Harry he was responsible but the flashback showed Julian watching Vera shoot Marin. So I assumed Jack was lying in order to take the blame, maybe as some act of redemption?

I preferred season 2 as well.

I didn't like the first 10/15 minutes of the first episode but I reckon it's so that you don't like, or connect, or 'get' the murdered couple.

I cared about Heather, Julian and of course the lovely Bill Pullman. Ahh.

Just finished Sinner 2. Bit disappointed, was ok but not a patch on season 1. Agree the boy who planed Julian was fantastic. On to Making a Murderer 2 now!

Okay Fairylea I will watch a few more episodes then, I was actually not that impressed with s1 straight away either, I watched abt 10 min of ep 1 and I thought ‘nah’ and then I read a review of it in some magazine and it was a shiny review so that made me give it another shot and I loved it! I also love Bill Pullman in it, it’s his best role to date imo.

I think you should try it... to be honest I would have been disappointed if they’d continued the Jessica B storyline as I felt there was nowhere else for it to go! I guess we all like different things but we really enjoyed season 2, I think the storyline really keeps you guessing and there are a lot of twists you don’t expect. I really hope they do a season 3!

Fairylea so do you think I should give it more of a chance then? I am bad for not giving things a chance if it doesn’t appeal to me right away, I assumed that Jessica Biels story would continue into series 2 and was disappointed that that wasn’t the case!

I’m not keen on series 2 either, you always get lured in with a great first season and then any season after is a huge letdown and this is the case with The Sinner, I’m out.
