Anyone watching this? I'm always really uncomfortable with this programme, though I think the families do learn a lot.

What does anybody get out of going on this show?

Just seen last weeks

Wow at £3k a week disposable income

The poor mum enjoyed being able to spoil her children and buy lovely food - tho even I was omg at the price of the joint

Again lovely families and the with the daughter of the rich family it really struck her how much the poor mum scrimped and budgeted

Tho £10 they had left - can feed six if they got some pasta tnned toms and mince and made a huge spag Bol

Know it was meant to be takeaway but ......

I would have said no to the £5 spent on ice creams

I agree. Tho Obv more mouths to feed = higher food bill

I thought £170 spare weekly was quite a lot although four mouths to feed is an awful lot of money for food needed.

Would be bit cruel but where they show families that came from nothing and are now affluent (Eg Bel), it would be interesting to do the reverse. I.e
show People who had had a privileged upbringing but for whatever reason were now poor.

I thought that the child wasnt strapped in.

So out of the £1600 do you take out the food delivery , cleaners , nails and school fees etc?.

Tiredemma the house where she was born is about 10 minutes from where she lives now - I thought that bit seemed a bit odd as the live so close by!

Anyone noticed the toddler wasn’t buckled in to his car seat when they were driving around in the posh car? Shock

I thought Skye was lovely and especially liked how Bel was moved by seeing the house where she was born. Very poignant.

Skye was so lovely, I agree.

Yes but it's like a holiday really isn't it. You've got to go into the programme knowing what it's all about.

I thought Skye and her family were very likeable and lovely. (And the family too really).

Wish I had a swimming pool! It does make me laugh though the rich family's reaction to the house most times they seem a bit shocked there's only one bathroom! Surely they must see that one!

I felt sorry for Skye & her family, I don’t like the feeling of look what you could have & then it beungvtsken away.

I watched tonight, I live in the area. Most people that live in one of the areas will know people that live in the other bit ( both houses were in Bromley - downham is right on the edge of the border with Lewisham)
All families seemed nice I thought

Anyone watched it tonight? With the Sethard-Wright family? Bloody hell, I wish I had gone into finance and not into teaching Grin

I thought this weeks both were lovely families

Tho can't believe the rich family mum didn't swap and couldn't take the time to have a birthday party for their son :(

The rich families this week and last are releasing that all their children want is some time

Why they can't employ someone to help them - restaurants and pubs have managers

And the poor family. She said she gave up work when baby was born and can't work tho why can't she do the odd evening shift

My friend did that for 5yrs. Worked in Tesco 2 evenings a week once hubby was home from work to earn extra money

Rich Mum obviously felt this was below her. She didn’t come across well for the few minutes she did appear.

The money to spend is after bills but before food.

The mother is away as she’s running the business, they put in long hours and I guess couldn’t risk them both being away for a week, or maybe she didn’t fancy slumming it for a week!

Missed the beginning - where's the mum in the rich family? They've mentioned her but she's not been on screen?

The Rick ones have a ‘spare ‘ 3k a week... is that after bills and food?

Report
thenightsky · 26/10/2017 21:17

Not that close... average house price 1 million as opposed to 300k.

Mind you 300k average in my neck of the woods would be the posh area Grin
