Those apartments were gorgeous and so cheap! I'd love to live there for 4 months of the year, I've mainly only been to South India but Jaipur looked fabulous!

I do feel sorry for Jan as she seems so lonely.

But 'real' people would just play to the camera like big brother! There wasn't much ego going on there!

It looked wonderful but I did have the terrible woman-targeted crime stats at the back of my mind. It's not all smiley and safe is it?

I'm disappointed they chose 'celebrities' - it could have easily worked with normal people.

I haven't watched tonight's yet but based on the first two, they all bring different backgrounds to the group and the only one I don't like is Miriam Margolis. No way could I share a house with her.

I'm really enjoying. Love the darts player.

I do think they've edited it quite a bit so suspect that they probably don't mention the misery/loneliness bits quite as much as you see iyswim?
It's that they show you the therapy bits where it's naturally mentioned and the treatments (again relevant so it's mentioned!) but I don't think they mention it every 5 minutes as they seem to do!

Jan looked fantastic. Miriam and Rosemary are sweet. however, i did find Jan's 'woe is me ' a bit tiring. I know it must be hard for her being alone, but its been like it or 12 years and icant imagine she hasnt had any male attention when she is fairly famous and very glam too! My dh as been to india with work and loved it. I have never been. I dont think i could live there though. Good programme. Missed last weeks one.

Romcomphoey, she is a bit like that but not too over the top.

I know she went on about it but I felt so sorry for her, at first I thought she had no children but she has a son in Australia, maybe she doesn't get to see him that much, she looks fantastic.

I can't see any of them settling there though, also I wonder about their finances, I just presumed they would be loaded but now I'm thinking they really aren't, I know Rosemary talked about her financial situation but I'm dead nosey and want to know about the rest (that's really wrong isn't it) Blush

I didn't know Roy's wife died, I saw him on come dine with me years ago and he was really good, doing sit ups in the kitchen no less Grin

Oh, I loved Jan. She can adopt us as a family if she wants. In fact I might write to her and invite her to visit. Anyone know her address?

Loved the first one, I was very disappointed with the second one. I had been so looking forward to it following the first marigold

Is Miriam wildly inappropriate and over-sharing like she is/does on Graham Norton? If so, I'll find it on catch up.

I think so - she mentioned a son in Australia.

No way! Must be the genes. Patti, although much younger, is such a glamour puss. Miriam is bonkers. The chef is quite a sad character though isn't she?

I can't believe Jan is 74 Shock I hope I look as good as that by that age. She's gorgeous and will give most 40 something's a good run for their money, she's totally datable.
